Great electric car

Great car. Super fast, economical and overall just plain fun to drive. Bargain for the price. Be sure and get the range extender option. Head turner.

Great car with a tight sporty feel

This is the most fun car to drive. Its so quick off the line no one will beat you. The inside is very spacious compared to what you would think. Lots of room for all my photography lights and gear. The range is plenty for zig zagging across the city to all my appointments for the day. I rarely in ever use the range extender but it's a nice peace of mind knowing it's there.

Massive depreciation

This car has many of the BMW attributes - great to drive, strong performance, and nice balance. However, before deciding to buy this car be aware that the depreciation on these vehicles is outrageous. A base price for a new 2016 I3 with range extender was more than 47,000 and I just recently returned mine to the dealer as a buy back due to poor range (I was using it for work) and I only received a bit over $13,000 for it. So basically the car is dropping in value by nearly $10,000 a year. A new i3 I saw in the showroom was more than $58,000 now. You are much better to invest in a standard BMW which doesn't depreciate like these cars and pay a bit more for gas.

Get your life back from traffic

This car provides me the ability to scoot along in the carpool lane bypassing an hour traffic each way to work. Saving me 600 hours of drive time a year, averaging $30/hour, this car paid for itself in the first year I had it. Plus no anxiety about getting caught without electricity.

Nice way to get into the Electric car Craz

Purchased used but still with warranty. Great price used and if you want to lease a new one right now BMW has a fabulous deal right now. Mine has the small battery but with REX so no real range anxiety. Not the best for high speed highway but suburban awesome. Check it out might work for you.....

Fun to drive

Got a great deal on an EV that’s a blast to drive. I’ve already highly recommended this model to friends and family. Large windows provide great visibility.

Worst car and company ever

Bmw is claiming that the i3 is so sensitive that somehow we caused damage to the charge port without any accidents or major trauma . And now this issue with the charge port they will not cover u set warranty . Bad customer service and per BMW themselves apparently bad car .

Buy buy buy cpo only

Here's the break down for what this car offers. Firstly it has a beautiful interior, it's really like being inside a second home. When you drive this car its stiff on suspension but such a joy to be able to accelerate almost immediately. With that said be careful know your package and know the features you want as not all models are created equal. Tera trim is 100% worth the extra cpo search. You don't want to buy this car brand new. It's simply not worth over 30k. 2016, 2015,2017 models can all be found for 24k or less. With that said I have a 2016 Rex with upgraded battery because that is literally an option. I spent 13k on the car and another 4k on battery and installation.

Great efficiency, fun to drive.

I was apprehensive, but with the range extender, and all of the tech features, along with the power accelerating from a stop, I can't recommend this car enough. So much fun!
