What Is the 2025 Cadillac CT5?

The Cadillac CT5 is a five-seat luxury sedan available with a choice of three engines, including an absolute powerhouse of a supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 in the range-topping CT5-V Blackwing variant. With 668 horsepower and an available six-speed manual gearbox, the Blackwing is one of the quickest sedans available today; for those who don’t need tire-melting acceleration, the base engine is a 237-hp, turbo four-cylinder paired to a 10-speed automatic; and in the middle of the lineup is a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6 that makes 335 hp in standard tune and 360 hp in the CT5-V. Rear-wheel drive is standard, but all-wheel drive can be added to any model in the range except the mighty Blackwing. The CT5’s rivals include the Audi A5, BMW 3 Series and Genesis G70.

What’s New on the 2025 Cadillac CT5?

All versions of the CT5 get an exterior styling refresh and updated dashboard for 2025. A 33-inch LED screen takes the place of the previous gauge cluster and 10-inch touchscreen, bringing the CT5 up to par with Cadillac’s latest technology. The new infotainment system features Google Built-In technology with a customizable display and Google’s Assistant, Maps and Play functions. The CT5-V’s available Performance Data Recorder is updated with new performance-analysis features. The previous entry-level Luxury trim is discontinued, making the Premium Luxury the new base trim — which raises the CT5’s starting price considerably while bringing a lot more standard equipment.

What Features in the 2025 Cadillac CT5 Are Most Important?

Should I Buy the 2025 Cadillac CT5?

The CT5 certainly provides plenty of choices for a luxury mid-size sedan. From the base turbo four with RWD up to the brutally fast (albeit very pricey) CT5-V Blackwing, this Cadillac’s personality ranges from eminently practical to a high-speed roller coaster with seating for five. The refresh for 2025 helps the CT5 feel more up to date, with features like available AWD and Cadillac’s highly regarded Super Cruise hands-free highway driving aid further bolstering the CT5’s credentials.
