Best of the best
I owned a 2006 gmc canyon from 86k miles to 278k miles when I totalled it. Best vehicle I have or will ever own. Minimal issues throughout its life. Lots of rough driving. Very spacious and comfortable. I'd have easily hit 300k had I not hit a guardrail going 60. I miss this truck everyday.

Perfect truck for me
My 2005 Colorado is a 5 cylinder, 4 door-extended cab, that I bought used to replace a vehicle lost in a wreck. I retired to a small farm and this truck has been great for hauling animals, feed or whatever needing to be hauled. It had 119,000 miles on it when I bought it four years ago and it only has 132,000 miles on it right now, it’s still a baby. At 17 years old the mileage is very low. I’ve only put on new tires and did the oil changes as required. The only issue I have is the cruise control doesn’t work, as that’s not super important for me I haven’t gotten that looked at. This vehicle isn’t perfect, but it’s perfect for me and my needs. Best vehicle I’ve owned in years.

My 05 Chevy Colorado is the best. I've owseveral.
Best Chevy I've ever owned. Well over 100,000 miles. Don't use a lick of oil, and keeps trucking. Well maintained vehicle. I've hauled heavy loads, and pulled with it. I will never get rid of that truck!

Great handling, easy to drive, and roomy
Bought it new and have had it for 14 years. Ours is the Crew Cab, so it is a great family car. Ours has the 4 cylinder so it is great for economy. We have driven it from Washington State to Southern California many times with no problems. Very reliable. Like having the pickup bed when we need it, but the pickup bed is not so big that it is a problem when we are not hauling something. Like the fact that the truck has enough power to pull our trailer without a drastic change in gas mileage. We did change to the Z71 wheels, which I believe adds drastically to the appearance over the standard alloy wheels. Also we added the small wheel flares which also makes the trucks appearance look even more appealing. From what I've heard, the 2005 was the only year that came stock with the locking tailgate, which we really enjoy with the cover we had installed on the bed. The great thing about the stock locking tailgate is that the same key that fits the truck, fits the tailgate. In the truck there are places for junk in the doors, and between the front seats, plus cup holders that seem to be in the right place. In other cars the cup holders always seem to be in the most inappropriate places. Also there is a grab handle right above the door, great place. So on extremely long trips if you need to pick yourself up out of the seat to readjust your self, it is perfect. Also if you need help getting in. Where other vehicles seem, for some reason, to put them forward by the front window. Other vehicles should learn from the Colorado. Also the tailgate has two positions. Open it and the cable let it be flat down, but you can also take the cable and hook it a notch up so the tailgate isn't down flat. That way if you put longer boards in the bed, that hang out the back, they are not laying flat, they are up so they will not slide out. Yes you should tie them down, but even tied down they can slip out if they are laying flat. My wife's main comment is how well it handles, how easy it is to drive, and how roomy it is. Don't know what they did to the newer style Colorado's that made them so much less roomy

Great Midsized truck
This Colorado Crew Cab truck has met our family needs for 14 years. It replaced a standard cab Ford Ranger which wasn't large enough for our family addition. Our Colorado has the 4-cylinder which gives us more than enough power to pull a trailer, even pull a 12' fifth wheel trailer.
