What Is the 2025 Chevrolet Malibu?

The Chevrolet Malibu is a five-seat mid-size family sedan powered by a 163-horsepower, turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine. This engine sends power to the front wheels via a continuously variable automatic transmission.

A smooth ride and roomy backseat are pluses, but it’s clear the Malibu is showing its age when you pit it against newer rivals like the Honda Accord, Hyundai Sonata, Nissan Altima and Toyota Camry. All these competitors offer broader model lineups, as well.

What’s New on the 2025 Chevrolet Malibu?

The Malibu is carried over unchanged for 2025, which Chevrolet has announced will be the car’s final model year.

What Features in the 2025 Chevrolet Malibu Are Most Important?

Standard features include:

  • 8-inch touchscreen
  • Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
  • Wi-Fi hot spot
  • Keyless entry
  • One USB port
  • Lane departure warning
  • Lane departure steering assist
  • Rear-seat reminder
  • Six-speaker stereo

Available features include:

  • Rear cross-traffic alert
  • Blind spot warning
  • Power-adjustable driver and passenger seats
  • Leather seating
  • Heated and ventilated front seats
  • Bose audio system
  • Navigation
  • Wireless device charging
  • 8-inch digital instrument display

Should I Buy the 2025 Chevrolet Malibu?

Even though it’s been eclipsed in many ways by newer competitors, the Chevrolet Malibu remains an attractive and comfortable sedan that doesn’t demand a lot from a car shopper’s budget. The turbocharged four-cylinder runs out of oomph quickly, though, and its overall fuel economy trails many direct rivals that offer punchier acceleration. Inside, the cabin looks its age, but the infotainment system is user-friendly and comes with popular features, like wireless smartphone connectivity.

Out of all the cars that I have taken for a test drive. The 2025 Chevy Malibu is the best. It has style, it drives and handles well, and has some awesome features to go along with it. But more importantly it is a by name it is one of the most reliable vehicles you can buy and never go wrong.
