Best hd truck made hands down
Awesome truck, it now has 216k with no major problems and still drives and runs like the day I got it. My truck has the 6.0 with the 4l80 trans and has never skipped a beat. I pull a lawn service and a firewood trailer all summer and winter and have never been let down once. I do all required maintenence. Anyone that says these- Purchased a New car

Can't keep it on the road
This truck was built for show. There are so many issues that I don't even know where to start. As far as reliability goes, I have never been left stranded more than I have in this truck. I keep up on regular maintenance, and do everything that I should to make it keep on keeping on, but it's still a total dud.- Purchased a Used car

Great Reliable Truck
Truck has plenty of room, power with 8.1 Liter Alisson transmission, and is very smooth on highway, with Michelin Defender 205/75/16 Mud and Snow tires.- Purchased a New car

6.0 motors are junk .115,000 heads and manafolds
115,000 or less 6.0 motor Heads, Manifolds, Brake lines. Fuel pump. Shift cable. Fuel lines, rear brake rotors rusted away, Body rust showing. GM needs to be ashamed of there company. Newer they are the moor money they cost .The old ones lasted for years ? Not the newer ones .Don't buy a $50,000 dollar pile of junk.- Purchased a Used car

Wasn't sure what to expect.
2001 Chevy Silverado HD2500 LS with the 5 speed automatic Allison transmission and the huge V8 8100 Vortec. Had my heart set on trading my 2009 Chevy Silverado for a Tahoe, but found this little gem. Was not in the best shape cosmetically, and has had a few tweaks to it. The stock exhaust has been changed, and now has a shorty- Purchased a Used car

Toughest truck I've owned!
I have hauled 3,000lbs (seriously) of scrap metal in this truck, and this vehicle really did well! And the 6.0 engine moves this ride with power and style. The truck has a utility bed with a lift gate. It has been THE BEST investment in a truck I have ever made!- Purchased a Used car

best truck i have owned... period.
I drive a 2001 Chevy Silverado 2500HD with the BEASTLY 8.1 big block and the 5 speed auto Allison tranny. bought the truck with 25k miles on it. I get better gas mileage in the city and on the highway than i did with my 2005 Ford F150 with the 5.4 which only had 38k miles on it. both trucks are/were very well maintained. I got- Purchased a Used car
