MOST RELIABLE CAR I'VE OWNED

I bought a 2002 Trailblazer with 75,000 miles on it and put an additional 100,000 miles on it. It always ran perfectly. I only needed to do general maintenance(tires, brakes, etc) The LTZ had a lot of nice options and I was quickly spoiled with leather heated seats, rain sense wipers, all sorts of buttons and controls on the steering wheel, a fantastic sound system and more. It handled extremely well in the snow, dirt roads, slippery conditions, etc. I did add nicer tires than the originals. More importantly I was involved in a huge crash this week and this car quite possibly saved my life. I went head on into a large cement guardrail at about 50 miles an hour. I only suffered a sprained ankle and a bruised knee. I would definitely recommend this vehicle. It was extremely dependable for me in every way. It always started, even in the -20 mornings and I never even replaced the battery, never flushed any of the fluids...just oil changes. A+ to the Trailblazer.

One of the most comfortable SUV's

I have had my Trailblazer for 4 years now and I have only had to replace the battery. It is a soft ride and handles like a car. For females or smaller framed people, it is very comfortable for the driver (which is the primary reason I bought it). All controls are within easy reach so you don't have the distraction of leaning over to change radio stations, air controls, etc. The only thing I don't care for is all the plastic of the dash/interior, but to me that is minor. All the pluses definitely outweigh this one negative for me. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone looking for reliability and easy handling. It also has plenty of power for passing and accelerating on the highway which makes me feel safer.

I bought my 2002 Trailblazer LS new and have almost 250000 miles and it's still going. No major issues just typical wear and replacements, brakes, rotors, belts, tires. No engine or transmission problems. The only thing I wish Chevy did was redesign the interior console where the shifter and cup holders are to make it more roomy like my Silverado. Overall, it's a great vechicle.

The biggest problem I have found is that when I do have to have something fixed on this car, all, or most of the engine parts are "Dealer Parts", which of course means they have to be ordered instead of picking them up at a parts store. One piece of advice... if you have to replace the alternator, plan to have it ground to fit. The one sold by both dealer and parts store, even though it is said to be the replacement part, must be ground to fit anyway.

Bought our 2002 LS new in 2001. We mainly use it for pulling a pop-up camper on vacation and sundry in-town driving. 10.5 years later, it's still going strong. Very few maintenance issues. Pulls a 3500 lb. pop-up like a champ. Typical vacation is 3000 miles; goes through the mountains like on flat ground. Very comfortable ride, and plenty of power for any kind of driving. Interior is roomy with ample cargo space. We've had a few interior issues, but no deal breakers (an out-of-whack sun visor; headrest cover that isn't secured well; and the liftgate pull has broken several times). Sorry that the T-Blazer is out of production. Would consider a new one in a few years if they still made it. But our still has a lot of mileage in it.

Purchased used with 25K miles. Nice ride, good gas milage, excellent for long trips, lots of room. Too many problems... fan clutch at 31K, CD player 33K, rusty deck hinges and blots, 35K, alternator 55K, door moldings falling off rear doors since ownership, all 4 brake rotors rusted beyond resurfacing at 80K, cost $955 at dealership...GM says thats within expectations and acceptable life, blistering paint on hood lip...must be repainted at 85K, foged-out middle rear brake light cover 60K, paint chiped off new CD player buttons, air conditioner warm air, cold air, warm air since ownership.

I found this 10-year-old Trailblazer thanks to Cars.com. I was concerned that there would be no body left even though the vehicle only had 47K. Turned out to be in great shape and the interior looks as if only the driver's seat was sat in. Anyway, without the Cars.com research, I would never have found this and I intend to keep it until the wheels fall off. Price and dealer was great as well.

Had to get another one and hopeful, the second is as good as the first. Roomy, comfortable, and good bang for the buck. I never review a vehicle, but this one is a keeper, the first is staying in the family. It has earned it's keep. It delt with the snow, hurricanes, and everything mother nature can dish out.
