2 new engines in 2 years.

2 new engines in 2 years. Now is will randomly not start. Very inconvenient when you're out and trying to leave. This car spends more time in the driveway than on the road. I have spent more money fixing this car, than I spent buying it.

We have had this vehicle for two and a half years.

We have had this vehicle for two and a half years. In total, we spent $12k trying to keep the wheels rolling. The most reliable it was, was 1.5 weeks of continual usage.

BE PREPARED TO PAY OVER ODDS FOR SERVICE/LABOUR

Whoever designed the Dodge Journey 2010 was not thinking of the cost to owners to get their vehicle services. To install a new battery $410 - $170 for the battery, remainder was for labour and taxes!!! WHY WOULD YOU PUT THE BATTERY IN THE WHEEL WELL? A new alternator $610 + 2 1/2 hours labour @ $89 an hour!!! Service vehicle $180 + 2 1/2 hours Labour @ $89 an hou!!!

It is getting too expensive to fix,

Problems with the horn going off on its own. It is not a recall but it is a poor design. Experiencing electrical problems that also not a recall but are potentially dangerous if left unattended. Expensive to fix. I love my journey but I may have to replace due to expensive repairs. I've already put over5k in it in the last 2 years.

most reliable car i have owned

Some of my favorite features are:(1) heated seats (no worries about freezing in the cold, harsh winter). (2) remote start (winter or summer, very useful). (3) cruise mode, etc.

Good overall vehicle

We have had this 2010 Journey for 8 years and it has been a dependable family vehicle. Gas mileage is reasonable, power is OK but nothing to scream about, dependability has been good with the exception of the rear struts which were completely worn out at 60 thousand miles and the engine does have a tick/knock when first started but has been doing that for years and doesn't seem to be getting any worse. I would recommend it as a good vehicle for the price.

Very good SUV!

Recently bought a used 2010, and it is one of the finest vehicles I have ever owned. Comfortable, handles well, lots of storage space very clean. Looks like new.
