Loved this vehicle!

Car drove great for a long time. Like many older cars, it had it's issues; but, overall it was very safe and reliable. I would definitely recommend this vehicle to friends and family!

Best bang for your buck in SUV

I bought this car from a buddy of mine a year ago. It had 200k miles on it and now has over 230k with me owning it. The only major work that has ever been done is a transmission rebuild (which is pretty common with higher miles). The engine is strong and it's never left me stranded. Great vehicle

Great Car / Very Weak SUV

Very comfortable, well equipped, and will go anywhere. The bad Too much car for an SUV independent rear suspension is very, very weak not appropriate for an SUV, but great for a commuter car.

Great Vehicle and Dependable

This is the first vehicle i've owned 2002 Ford Explorer Linited 4.0 with less downtime problems than any other vehicle i've owned. Since i have owned this vehicle from new, here is the list of problems i've had. 1) Replaced brake pads and resurfaced rotors. 2) Replaced starter. 3) Replaced surpentine belts. 4) Replaced all 4 struts with shocks. 5) Replaced dryer to A/C unit. 6) Re-sufaced and polished head light lens, left and right. 7) Replaced 2 lamp bulbs to top brake lights. I have always kept up on the oil and filter changes and drove respectfully. This vehicle has 329,000 miles and still going strong. I have not had any major problems. What a great vehicle.

Very nice explorer

Very nice explorer xlt. The seats are very comfortable and has third row seats. The exterior has great rust protection and it still has shiny paint and no rust for being 15 years old. It also runs great. Would recommend.

The ride, for a SUV is very comfortable.

Behind the wheel, everything needed for a SUV like this one to be driven is within easy reach. The V6 engine is powerful enough to handle a long trailer loaded with a large boat, including five paxs and equipment for a weeks' outing.
