Starting to fail after 4 years

We have had the car for 4 years and for the first 3 we loved the vehicle. Looks classy, performance and fuel economy excellent. It seems that as soon as the warranty was up things started to fail... so here is the list: 1) sun roof no longer works, luckily closed but the interior shade is stuck open. 2) the LCD display on the right of the drivers dash display has gone blank. 3) the driver side door handle has fallen off (yes completely gone) So I could pay the ford dealership to fix these issues but none are critical to the vehicle operations and I really have a problem paying a Ford business to fix manufacturing faults... they wanted to charge 100$ just to look at the sun roof problem... honestly I would not buy another ford after this experience unless it was a lease that I would give back... I have a little KIA that has no quality issues... there is better value out there...

Love it!

Love it! After having a suburban and then a traverse, I absolutely LOVE my Explorer! It?s a midsize SUV but heavy and safe feeling more like a Suburban! I?m a big vehicle person and this is by far my favorite SUV yet!

A beautiful blessed purchase

We love this car, it's features and the salesman Ken Terry who helped us. We love the color, the space, the features inside are so awesome. The 3rd row definitely helps out for our family.

Very nice SUV!

It's a base model, so i expected to loose a few things from my previous vehicle, but it's nice. My kids love the third row option.

Bought my 2nd Ford Explorer!

We owned our previous Ford Explorer XLT for 15 years. It was a 2002 and though it needed more repairs over the last few years, it was worth every penny -- it had been so reliable to us the entire time, and still looked amazing. However, it was definitely time to buy a newer vehicle, and we decided we'd try for another Explorer if we could find a newer model we could afford. The 2013 has been just that. Affordable, but still with a lot of fun bells and whistles that come standard. It fits our growing family much better than the 2002, and is more gas-efficient. It still looks like a brand-new model, but not like a mini-van that so many SUVs appear to be these days (if I wanted a mini-van, I'd buy one!). Of course, it would be great if the gas mileage was even better, which is why I gave it a 4 for performance, which should actually be a 4.5. The interior design got a 4 because a few of the instruments aren't very intuitive and we had to look up how to use them. Otherwise this is a fabulous vehicle, and I would definitely recommend others to check it out!

Reliable and Modern

This vehicle exceeds my expectations. Seating is comfortable and roomy. I love the rear camera and all the safety features such as the side mirror alerts when objects are moving begins the vehicle. I look forward to many trips with my large family in this vehicle.

Jutst bought the car but i love it.

I love the handling of the vehicle, the seat is comfortable. I am only 5" tall and I am comfortable driving this car. The seat belt is comfortable as well, many times I've had the seat belt around my neck because the belt wouldn't adjust correctly.

Ford Explorer is the SUV To have

This car is dependable, comfortable, and a beast in the inclement weather. It drives and feels like a luxury car with half the price tag.
