This is my 1st Ford.

This is my 1st Ford...at this point, NEVER AGAIN. Extremely ripped off. We bought it for $13,500 woth 102k miles. Had it a month and the water pump went out. Spoke to my nephew who is a Ford mechanic...$2100 to fix. Had to use another mechanic because nephew lives 3 states away. Got it back...was running fine and today, check engine light comes on...coil packs. What a xxxx joke Ford. As soon as I can dump this lemon its gone. ONLY SAVING GRACE...I paid cash.

Better options available

Comfortable with plenty of cargo space. Power is adequate and mileage poor. Fit and finish - quality poor in the interior. Door panels started falling apart after a year. Steering rack needed to be replaced at 5 years / 50k for $2500. Transmission flashed multiple times. Exhaust fumes leak into SUV on hard acceleration (ie freeway ramp) . Purchased this vehicle 2 years old with 19K on the clock - put more work on this than any vehicle I have owned and quite a few were older/high mileage vehicles.

8 years of Wonderful service

Best Ford, other than a pickup, I've ever owned. Minor issues and recalls. All fixed or checked expertly here in Woodbridge VA. Only 80,000 miles. All highway. Tows a trailer perfectly straight. 4X4 with tow package. Getting ready to sell. Nobody else in the house to use it ! Lol

Love my Explorer

We purchased our Explorer Limited brand new in Sept 2014. We live in Wyoming, and we've traveled to both coasts in comfort. It has 211,550 miles, still going strong! Knock wood!

Blown engine

My daughter has this car. She thought something was wrong with the breaks. Couldn’t get into a mechanic for a couple weeks, so she drove it only when necessary. Then the engine blew up! The insurance company said it was due to wear and tear….. it’s only got 106,000 miles on it! Please Ford do something to help! We all have owned a ford in this family, but never again.

Dissappointed

I had to replace my water pump. They kept my car for a week. Also the armrest on the driver's side split. There should be a recall on this. Worst car. Since I had my car back it just isn't the same. Runs rough and they tell me it's normal

Very nice vehicle

I swore all of my life I would never buy a Ford. Once I brought my F150 Harley, I loved it. Which made me eager to but this Explorer for my wife and daughter. We are now a FORD FAMILY.

Extremely Reliable

This is is a super good car never broke down for the 6 1/2 years that we owned it. The plastic components in our car are like falling apart (Probably because we have 3 kids who are really good at breaking stuff) but its not bad. In some SMALL areas the paint is starting to bubble but on the newer models ford has fixed this problem. We have used it for off-roading and let me tell you ITS VERY CAPABLE. Also in my opinion it looks nice.

Great 3rd Row TRUCK

So far my favorite own, ever. Plan to keep this going a while. Then go get another. I really do enjoy it. The styling, the performance, the whole package.
