Vehicle Overview
Rated at one ton, the full-size F-350 Super Duty pickup truck comes in regular cab, SuperCab and Crew Cab configurations and is offered in XL, XLT and Lariat trim levels. Dual-rear-wheel versions are available for greater hauling capacity. When properly equipped, an F-350 pickup can haul as much as 17,000 pounds. For 2007, changes are limited to the addition of a few appearance options.

Ford says the F-350’s TowCommand System with an integrated electric trailer-brake controller was an industry first. Design revisions for 2005 incorporated elements of the Mighty F-350 Tonka concept truck.

Two appearance packages are available for 2007: a Highline Package for SuperCab models with single rear wheels and a Outlaw Package for Crew Cab models with single rear wheels. The Highline Package features extensive use of chrome on the grille, tow hooks, step bars and other trim bits, while the Outlaw is a primarily black theme that’s carried over into the interior.

Exterior
Ford says “sharp edges and vertical bar surfaces provide a milled appearance” on Super Duty models. The F-350’s front-end styling is similar to that of the F-250’s; both display a bolder, more upright grille than the one on the half-ton F-150.

Full-size F-350 Super Duty pickups are available with a choice of five wheelbases and either a 6.75- or 8-foot cargo box. Regular cab models have two doors, while SuperCab pickups add rear half-doors. Crew Cab models have four conventional front-hinged doors. These pickups can have rear- or four-wheel drive and single or dual rear wheels on each side.

Front tow hooks are standard. XLT models feature a chrome front bumper and bright grille, versus an argent grille for the XL. Stepping up to the Lariat edition adds cab steps, fog lamps and a sliding rear window.

Interior
Either two or three occupants can fit inside a regular cab pickup. SuperCab and Crew Cab models hold up to four, five or six people, depending on the model.

Extra equipment on the XLT includes air conditioning, power windows and locks, cloth seats, cruise control, a tilt steering wheel and a CD player. Power front seats with leather surfaces go into Lariat models.

Under the Hood
Three engines are available in the F-350 Super Duty. The 5.4-liter V-8 produces 300 horsepower, while the 6.8-liter V-10 is rated at 362 hp and 457 pounds-feet of torque. An available 6.0-liter turbo-diesel V-8 generates 325 hp and 570 pounds-feet of torque. A six-speed manual transmission is standard, and a five-speed automatic is optional.

Safety
Dual front airbags and antilock brakes are standard. Side-impact airbags are not available.

2007 Ford F-350 review: Our expert's take

  • Planned to get bullet proofed didn't do it quick enough

Planned to get bullet proofed didn't do it quick enough engine blew at 140,000 miles, was told even if bullet proofed the 6.0 engine will fail. And ford should have had a recall and discounted repairs. My dodge ram is just as bad and the death wobble is really scary when your doing over 60mph

  • worst truck ever built

rides nice when it runs. which isn't often. only has 150k miles on it and all i do is throw money at it. worst built engine in the history of engines. 6 L power stroke diesel. don't believe me look it up. And watch out when it breaks and it will. The repair bill is going to hurt bad. I'm looking at a 13k yes i said 13k repair bill right now. Do yourself a favor and buy a Chevy. Your heater might go out or a piece of trim might fall off but you WILL get home. i truly used to love fords and have owned many. This truck cured me of that love affair. the brakes are overly complex along with everything else on it. And please don't get me started on the electrical system. The space shuttle is less complex. Of course this is just my opinion but i do own the worthless chunk of scrap. Really in my opinion it's the worst designed truck ever. i think my dog could have done a better job. But it is very roomy if you want to sleep in it and you will because it's not if it will break down and leave you stranded but when it will break down and leave you stranded. Built ford tough. Just not tough. Worst investment i ever made and i have made some really bad investments. Be warned. And on a side note the lady Susan. S that i bought it from is more worthless then the truck.

  • The 6.0 Diesel is a Nightmare

The engine blew when it was under 100,000 miles...... cost $14,500 to put a remanufactured engine in the truck and I was stuck in Dalhart Texas for 18 days.... the truck was gorgeous, but the engine is crap.... lots of lawsuits, Ford didn't care.

  • Great truck for family of 6

Most trucks have short beds and only 5 seats which limits their utility for a family of 6 in need of a long bed truck for farm use. This truck served us well.

  • Solid truck

I use this truck to haul a heavy camper while towing as well. It handles it all with no problems. I find the styling of this model series is one of Fords best IMO. Exterior design on 08 and later years was a step backwards for Ford. This truck have given me no problems. 90k miles one it now.

  • The best work truck.

I've owned the top three (Chevy,Ford,Dodge) and the best work truck is the Ford. The Chevy had the most power and comfort, the Dodge, well had the best diesel, but none of them can touch a ford for hard core work truck. I own a snow plow business and the Ford is the best I have had. If you don't work with your truck, consider the Chevy as I have found it offered more comfort but couldn't hold a candle to the ford when it comes to tough reliability. The only good thing about the Dodge was the diesel, awesome engine! Beats the Ford and Chevy hands down.

  • Solid truck

Reg Cab 8' bed, Triton V8 gas engine and 4wd. Easily hauled 3000 pound payload or set the cruise at 75mph towing 9000 pounds. Truck is capable on and off-road. Exterior looks better than 2008 model with lowered headlights.

  • F350 King ranch 4X4 duel real wheel, full size bed

Little tough getting into after a long hard day, but nice once you are in there. Tow command is real convienent, towing capacity is great! Only big problem is with lack of navigation device in this vehicle. It has everything else. It also would be nice if the back seats folded right down into a sleeping area. You do haul with this truck, so why not set it up for convienence in long trips?
