2012 Ford Focus consumer reviews

This years ford focuses were nothing but a disaster . I am writing this review for those that want to buy a ford focus 2012 or 2013 , these years models have a major problem with transmission and computer module and whatever ford does it can not be fixed. I have experienced two years of suffering with this as it was hard to sell since everybody knew about the problem but me . The transmission shakes a lot at low speed commonly known as transmission shudder clutch , on top of that there is a serious problem with the internal computer module that interfere with electrical system . I had to traded in for an unbelievably low amount of price just to get rid of it . I do not recommand this car to anyone .

I pastor 3 united methodist Churches , I almost live in it , gets great fuel mileage, comfortable ride, plenty of pep, if it were lost today id buy another one before dark. its just that good . have driven others but there is no comparison. Ford did their homework here. If you are considering a new car I highly recommend the Ford Focus.

We have had to have it serviced 7 times in a year. It is currently in the shop, and will cost 1000 to fix. I was told the warranty does not cover shocks and valves...ugh

It gets me back and forth to work 30 miles away. It's comfortable for long trips with 2 people, short trips with 4 people. Early, under warranty, transmission parts had to be replaced. It's been fine ever since.

The Ford Focus was the hatch to buy back in 2012, and it has been excellent for me. The manual transmission and absence of touchscreen avoided any weaknesses, and I have enjoyed 66k trouble-free miles. It is fun to drive, even if I sometimes wish it was a little faster. I have averaged over 33 MPG since I got it, so operating costs have been as low as can be expected. The traction control and ABS worked fantastic in New Jersey winters, and the AC does the job in Texas summers.

The exterior of the car is mostly plastic. I have spent thousands replacing the plastic bumper, front scoop. They crack and fall off. The box transmission was replaced by a recall but still jerks and makes grinding noises. .it has never left me stranded because of the engine and the gas mileage is great.

Good car. It?s got good pick up. And has been very reliable for me. Cool little car and good on gas mileage. I would recommend

This 2012 Ford Focus was bought as a commuter car to drive 70 miles round trip for work. It gets great gas mileage and fits my needs perfectly. 2 things I don?t like is that the brake pedal is too close to the gas pedal and it didn?t come with cruse control. Other then that it?s a great car.

It?s suoer fun to drive and commute in. It is extremely fuel efficient which is a major plus for me. Lastly the color is exactly what I was looking for

It's a pleasant car. Great for driving in the city, comfortable and responsive on the highway. It holds the road perfectly. Really low level of engine noise, precise steering wheel.
