I had read about all the issues with the focus dual clutch automatic and while I had the chance to get an amazing deal, thought I'd better not and go with Honda. But even at 65 figured the manual might work as I was used to stick shift driving, Glad I went ahead and bought the manual, The S version is pretty basic, no bells or whistles, but the car has performed great with no issues. Still have only 30K on it, but it runs and looks brand new, Engine is great, 190 HP is plenty, and have had good long road trips. Look at this car with the manual for sure and you'll have a fun ride,

This car that we bought from a lemon dealer can’t be the car you judge the make and model by. It came from a bad dealer. It broke down with in days. BUT I have driven in others and those have been great cars! Comfortable, great on gas and reliable. As long as you don’t buy it from the Car Cloud auto group in Stanford Va

This is the worst car have ever owned. Nothing but problems since I bought it. I fee that anyone that has purchased this type of vehicle should be given a discount on purchasing another vehicle.

This car has been nothing but reliable and road worthy. Brand new brakes and tires as well as semi-synthetic oil changes recently done. Air and Cabin filter changed first week of April. Car is ready to go to a new owner.

The car is comfortable for everyone in my family. It has enough room in the back for my kids to sit and not be squished. Its really good on gas.

I spend more time at Ford machanic then i do driving the car. It got fixed and is now having the same problem!! There great at fixing it but it breaks down again with in months. I cant get any help cause the car has 112,000 miles on it. They ignore my calls to the manufacture. I love the people at Ford of New Port Richey but i keep getting the car back and it just breaks down again!! Thank u again DO NOT BUY THIS NIGHTMARE CAR!!!

The car was designed on a Euro model so to speak, Seems very continental, great engine, ok gas mileage, comfortable and seems to be more expensive than it is. Only "repair" issue was water pump covered by warranty, Definitely the manual was the way to go, easy to shift and fun driving, but my alternative reason was that everyone seemed to be complaining about the dual clutch auto which had issues of reliability but also drivers unaware of how to actually drive a dual clutch car. The main complaint is the fairly large number of recalls, the latest is for a faulty computer reading of the gas pressure valve which can leave it stuck and collapse the gas tank and even make the car inoperable, Still waiting for a letter when I can get it fixed. Never had a car failure due to a recall issue, but a pain in the derriere to have to take it in for them. Overall, got the car new for 11K so a good deal in the end for me. Once the bugs are handled, if you buy the manual you'll get a pretty fun cheap ride that serves most purposes,

Terrible 2012 Ford Focus SEL is JUNK, every year it's in the dealer for something, 1st yr EMISSION recall, had service, 2nd yr EMISSION service again, 2yrs old radio went out, wanted to charge me $580, could not afford, so I have no radio, 3rd yr TRANSMISSION cost $1800 said is wasn't Emission but was doing exact same thing as before, Oxygen Sensor comes off and on, today Mar 7, 2019, bucked and barely moving........????????

The 2012 Ford Focus SEL for my use is a very user friendly and comfortable car for both city and highway driving. I the 160 HP motor is responsive, easy to pass with, and efficient on gas. The DCT transmission works well, but you have to get use to how they work. Ford has gone the extra mile in customer service to extend the mfrs. DCT transmission warranty to up to 200K as a customer satisfaction effort. This a good thing and welcomed by this consumer. Overall styling is very European and a fresh design for a North American car maker. GM tried but in MHO failed to deliver. I have been driving Mercedes Benz for a while and this Ford has made me rethink my options when it comes to my next purchase.

The cars transmission starts out shaky til it quits. Coolant issues and there's no plate under motor to protect car components from the ground. Starter went out when the clutch did. I do not recommend buying this model year car.
