2012 Ford Focus consumer reviews

I would give it 4 stars but the car has some major transmission and fuel issues. There are recalls and been to the dealer multiple times and it seems they cannot fix the issue. After 120000 miles on the car, now getting check engine light and the dealer cannot seem to find the issue.

Ever since I bought this car I’ve had problems with it. From the fuel gauge reading wrong to the fuel pump going out. Ac no blowing cold. So many thing wrong with it

Dont be surprised when you find this vehicle for sale at killer low prices, new/used/repaired whatever its current status is in it is GUARANTEED to cost you at least as much as you end up paying (mnthly) in total repairs, dealings with dealerships, time youre forced to dedicate to the ring jumping which Ford dealerships have been programmed to execute per corporate(presumably). I have no idea how this vehicle hasnt brought Ford MoCo more backlash over and above the class action lawsuits its been battling and has lost recently. there is no real legit reason that the rating on this site for this particular model car is as avg/mediocre as posted. the consumer reviews apparently dont cover the true avg experience drivers everyday take to the internet to cry about , in regards to the huge amount of repair costs the nightmare of a transmission design this has stolen out once loyal ford customers pockets. the 2012 ford focus and other similar models/years of ford sedans of this approx year will open your eyes to the slimy snaky practices which FordMoCo is far from void of. if you have faith in your local ford dealership's' currently then do not acquire this car ANYWHERE ANYTIME ANY PRICE otherwise you are sure to be insulted and shocked along with other emotions. and nobody pays for fords violations and mistakes or poor design flaws except for Fords once loyal customers, who at one point possibly looked to Ford for the ONLY location to take your vehicle to for any and all repairs or tune ups. Get yourself a personal mechanic. dont get yourself a ford focus. if you have a focus get your cut man and corner crew ready because if you dont fight you will not receive common moral treatment expected from any for profit company. ford is good at selling trucks , delivering smiles in person from sales and service techs, and are even better at producing a trojan-virus of a vehicle design; theres no escaping the waisting of your cash once you own FOR ANY LENGTH OF TIME OR MILEAGE a ford vehicle of this model/year/transmission design/powershift dual clutch xxxxx!

This car should be outlawed it has trans clutch issues recall issues and drives like a lawn mower makes a shutter noise when pulling off no blue tooth it’s just a mess

This car is everything I was looking for from a used car. The sync system is pretty good even though it’s dated tech now. The clutch is good and it handles well.

Driven back and forth to college. Great ride and superior gas mileage. Very reliable and handles great. Interior VERY comfortable and I'm 6'4". Stylish and roomy.

multiple transmission problems. left stranded after transmission slipped out of gear while driving. was told transmission was not a problem and that i needed to get used to the jerking while driving and to bring it back every 6 months to be reprogrammed.

I was good until about a month after i bought the car in 2017, i got a recall notice on the transmission. Been in for service twice already for trans problems. I need to take it back in again. This will be time #3. Come to find out ford had a bunch of manual transmissions overstocked so they converted them to automatic and stuffed them in the focus for that year. Like I said earlier, I should have looked around a little more.

EXCELLENT,I love my car i am very happy with my Ford Focus 2011 SE ,i buyed with 10 000 km and never ,ever had problem.

This car is a lemon . I'm still making payments on this junk, and every time you look around its in the shop for transmission prhoblem, radio want play ,fuel pump problems, what they need to do is discontinue these cars
