2014 focus problem trans. This car has issues and
When I bought my focus I loved it . It's a great handling car .good, roomy, gas mileage good. Then I found out about the reason people talk about these 2014 focuses. Never buy a focus without knowing their closest secrets on the vehicle cause I'm sure they see us coming and they don't give a dam about us, the costumer!! I've been making payments since 2019 and over the recent few years I've been without a car. First it had something shorting a wire down under by trans. Then TCM had to be replaced took ford here 70plus days to get that part Then had to replace motor another 100 days no car. Now it's the over charged clutch replacement and another5 months no car. I can't get any assistance nor a break from ford and this is the last time I go local to this ford dealer. Never been so disregarded nor had this much trouble with past 4 ford purchases in recent years. In fact I don't have anything nice to say about them . Did I mention the same transmission on their newer focus actually has been recalled? Way to go ford!!! To little to late!!

Do not buy a ford! They screws me with that freakin transmission control modular. My daughter saved her money and works and goes to school and no American made part available. Car is sitting and she owes $6k obit!!!!

RUN FAR AWAY FROM THESE!!!
Thought I got a deal on it when I purchased it 8 months ago for my daughter. Two months later the transmission started slipping. Tried to take it a couple of places, most wouldn't touch it due to the transmission issues with these. The dealer charged $2500 to fix it. Now six months later the transmission control module went out and the dealer said it is on back order and they have no idea when it will be in, but it has been months. I talked to another shop and they said they have been waiting for over 6 months for the part. Even if it will be covered by warranty, she can't be without a car for months. That was after she has already been waiting for two and a half weeks for them to even get it in just to hook it up to the computer to get the codes and tell me it is bad. Why did it have to take that long just to hook it up and read the codes? This was by far the worst car purchase I have ever made and I feel like I have let my daughter down. DON'T BUY ONE NO MATTER HOW CHEAP IT IS!!!!

Worst car EVER MADE
The transmission issues are insane , I've had my car fixed 5 times now . They kept my car two months cause parts were on back order . They gave me no rental. Also my car is locking me out by itself . I went to take groceries in and the car locked me out I had to climb in through the sun roof . Ford refuses to acknowledge this and fix it. I will never buy another Ford again

Saddened by its Loss.
I purchased my 2014 Ford Focus SE four years ago with 76k miles and its done exceptional well even though its exceeded 100K miles. It saddened me that I only had five months left from its payoff. I was truly looking forward to having it as a second vehicle prior to retirement. The radio went out first, followed by the backup sensor and lastly the internal clutch of the transmission. Ms. Blue has done well for its service until now. It feels like a loss of a family member.

Do not buy!!
Bought this car new in June 2014. Had the transmission repaired several times while under warranty (hesitating when starting out). Last month, with only 71,000 miles on it, the whole transmission went. Ford Wanted 3050.00 to fix. I was also told that the part needed was on back order with no idea when it would come in. I wound up selling it for scrap for &1000.00. It was a shame because everything else was in great shape.

Never again and I am influencing all I speak to!!
Overall comfort in buying this car was fine, except the dealer all the way to the bank were pushy yet not friendly and pushy. From that point, Ford was not at all the outstanding company I can remember from the chance of riding to town in my grandfather's ranger pickup. All the way to the moment I got a bit extra play with the steering wheel (of my focus ST), and my family had been Ford consumers for a majority of my life... since then my car has been in the shop more than not and I'm not exaggerated! It is just so awesome to have a little time to get out and enjoy the driving experience and I hear it could have been a way better experience had I bought a later model st by two months even. But instead I bought the 2014 one! Drivetrain, powertrain and body module issues down to the mechanical interior and exterior recalls this Ford is crap entirely bunk from the ground and to the roof top junked all the way! I paid 22grand for a lemon and I was just told to make lemon juice cause Ford was not there for me to get it back on the road. Big shout out to Newport Power Ford for their non competent team of cohorts who barely sneezed by with an mechanical aptitude test let alone an age automotive excellence degree.. I say there is no worse company from the inception of my purchase up until the last service that I had to be charged exorbitant fees for keyfobs that I could have replaced as a leiman or not knowledgeable about the issues at hand. By the last 7 week turnaround with no replacement driving vehicle or loaner car in the time being, I was offering up the way to repair the car and get it back to me soonest and they didn't heed my advice to boot and ended up admitting it was good info to help get it fixed! I say screw Ford and I will have to avoid any Ford that would have been a car of mine in my family for years to come.. need I say more? Thanks Ford motor company for dropping the ball on all fronts!!! I bid you adieu!!

Wish we had help with this issue
Love this car. Ease of driving and size. Easy on gas. Only problem is that the center of the steering wheel is constantly sticky and leaves glue like tar on my hands and clothing. No one and nothing has removed it and ford is no help.

Can't open my trunk. Have replaced trunk assembly.
I have problems with my trunk not opening with either key phob, or sensor by steering column. Readout says my trunk is open, and it is not. Can't get it open with all obvious ways of trying. I have had the latch release assembly replaced. Worked for a short time, and hasn't worked since..over a year. Help please

No communication from Ford!
Bought my 2014 and was never informed about the transmission clutch recall. Just turned over 100k and was told by a dealership it has a recall. Too little too late. I'm aggravated that I was never informed about this until after the fact! Guess F O R D stands up to its saying, found on the road dead😡
