The 6 speed Automatic transmissions are a nightmar

Do not buy one of these cars with a 6 speed double clutch automatic. They're faulty transmissions and Ford knew it when they put them in the cars and sold them. They're extremely expensive to fix and once you have them fixed you really still have a faulty transmission. Used transmissions are extremely expensive as well for my experience they average about $1,500 used at a salvage yard. If it had a good transmission we would love the car gas mileage is good handling is good styling is nice but none of that matters when you can't drive the car.

Worst Car I've Ever Owned

This car is terrible. I have gone thru 3 clutches. a TCM, motor mounts and lost half of my warranty due to lies from dealership. Will be scrapping as soon as I can get a new car.

Just purchased

Test drove car and it meet my expectations. Only thing I wasn’t keen on was directions of the wipers. Just purchased car. Spoke with persons knowledgeable about this car. Stated it is a reliable car and for the money it was not over priced and dealer was upfront nothing hidden.

Worst car I’ve had

A ridiculous amount of recalls, nothing ever gets fixed on the recalls. I’ve had 3 new clutches put in. Still shutters when it shifts through first or downshifting. Fuel pump went out, had it replaced on recall as well. Now it’s leaking and the smell is so strong I can’t even drive it. Not that I can drive it much anyways since I can’t go over 60 in it. Absolutely an awful vehicle.

Ford never learned from the Pinto Lawsuit!

The 2014 Ford Focus was manufactured with unfixable clutch and transmission problems which can place the driver in unsafe situations. Thinking about the issues with this Focus, it reminds me of the Ford Pinto in which Ford made the economic decision it would be cheaper to payout wrongful death settlements verses actually fixing the fatal flaws in the Pinto.

Worst car I have owned

I have a 2014 Ford Focus se and ever since I bought it it has been nothing but issues and constantly breaking down. I bought pre owned and have had it less than a year when I got it it had about 65,000 miles and already had to have it repaired far too many times

Fun to drive

I have owned this car for about 3 years and put 85 thousand miles on it and haven't had a single problem. the 5-speed manual is a joy to drive and you bypass any of the automatic issues!

The Ford Focus SE is the biggest piece of crap

The week I bought this car, the front passenger window quit working, then it started making this jutting back and forth which could give you a neck ache. I called the dealership where I bought this thing and left a detailed voicemail, and no one called me back. Then I had a piece of the trim come off, so they said they would call me back when it got in, which they never did. Well the other day, I pulled into a driveway, but needed to back out to make the parking correct, and it refused to reverse. And in BIG RED LETTERS it said TRANSMISSION please see dealer. So, I took it to my mechanic and he says it should be a covered service as there was a lawsuit over these. Do you know anything about it?
