2001 Ford Taurus consumer reviews

I don't reccomend any kind of Taurus. The ones in my family had serious engine issues and I've heard of people having the same issues.

This car was purchased for our grandmother who uses lived with us. It was The main focus was for it to run in top shape.

Drives well for being 17 years old. We are the fourth owner. It is needing some basic maintenance. The interior holds up well even after 17 years.

The 3 Liter Ford engines are workhorses. Properly maintained, they provide years of trouble-free service. This is the same car used for the SHO performance package, without the badging, or dual exhaust or heavier suspension upgrades.

This car met all my needs at the time. It got me through high school as my first car and even through college. I had it for about a year after that to get some money together and buy my first new car. No regrets on choosing this car as my first.

Very good car for basic transportation to and from work. Car holds it alignment good. Most cars of that year do not. Just should have been made with more room inside. Engine is powerful enough for the car to be a bit bigger inside.

I owned two of these things, the first lost it's transmission at 65,000 miles. We replaced it and it didn't even last a year before starting the same issues again. Then I bought one after being told the issues we fixed and it lasted to 55,000 miles and the transmission started to slip.

I love this car because its so roomy and its cheap on gas. $25 just to fill up the tank and I actually purchase the car at 200,000 and it lasted me a year until I got into an car accident but overall, great car! Thinking about buying another one

I got this as my first car, honestly I loathe it because it breaks down a little more often than I want it to. But I don't think I got it in the best condition. If you're looking around, make sure you get someone to look it over to tell you if it's a sound investment. Mine was not and I'm out thousands of dollars....

Excellent condition, Clean in and out, really fast V6, power everything, built in stereo, new tires and well maintained.
