Great car for homeowner.
Comfortable, affordable and reliable. Great ride for the money. Good for hauling anything from sports equipment to grass clippings.

Solid, but makes you want more
I was shopping for 3 months for a replacement for old but reliable '06 CRV when it finally died. As nothing I drove appealed to me over anything else, I just went for the direct replacement and grabbed the '16 CRV in the touring trim because the dealer cut me a good deal. 2 month's on, I feel could've done worse, but I also could've done better. Pros: 1) The CVT is actually a point in favor of this car. It gets good mileage, and dropped into Sport (read 'low gearing') mode, the car feels peppy and responsive on winding roads. Even with the AWD system and start stop driving, I'm still averaging near 30 mpg. 2) Somehow, the ride and handling do feel very car like, but you still get good road view and ride height. A very neat trick of design 3) Some of the interior details are very nice. The seats are comfy, and the console and wheel controls are very intuitive. The Lanewatch camera is a great feature, much better than standard blind spot monitoring. Cons: 1) Everything to do with your left leg. At 6 foot even with size 12 shoes, it's required some adjustment. The parking brake is located about 6 inches in front of the dead pedal, and if you are wearing boots or have big feet, getting your foot in there can be tricky. The door panel also has an odd design that has a small tray in the middle of the door that, if you drive cowboy style, will drive you nuts. 2) The infotainment system and connectivity of the car is dated and weird. No Aux jack, but there is an HDMI port for some reason. No apple carplay or android auto in the CRV at any trim, either. 3) The car's information is split between three different screens: the infotainment screen, a smaller screen above it, and a screen in the gauge cluster. These systems don't seem to be really connected, and figuring out which screen has which info and which one lets you configure which system can be a hassle. Mixed: 1) The Honda Sensing suite is extremely hit or miss. It can fail to detect lanes even on brand new asphalt with freshly painted lines, but will sometimes work on very poor roads. It also provides no audible warning when it shuts off. The adaptive cruise control is not full speed range, and shuts off under 9 mph, and can get confused by trucks in nearby lanes, but functions fine for at speed interstate driving. You will absolutely turn off the Lane Departure Warning system, as it's beyond useless and actually dangerously distracting at times. The Collision avoidance tech is the only system that seems to work fine, as it's never behaved oddly and has helped a couple of times already. 2) There is a small but noticeable vibration sometimes. This is well documented, but it's worth noting you don't feel it as much in the touring trim, unless you touch certain parts of the trim or other seats. 3) The headlights on the touring trim are a mixed bag. They are amazingly bright, but they have a very noticeable vertical stop point on the low beams. Like it goes from full illumination to total darkness in about a single degree of travel. This creates a distracting 'line' in your field of vision that draws your eye. I had a passenger remark it had him ducking his head because it felt like a window tint line on an older car, and he felt like he need to duck his head to see under it. Overall: It's a functional car, and if you want something that has AWD and decent fuel mileage while still having some handling and road feel, this is pretty much the only option. That said, the hints of sportiness and drive quality makes you wish it was a better car. Truth be told, if I feel the way I do right now about the car come next spring, I may just trade it in for something else, even if I have to eat a bit of a loss on it. If you are considering this car and can wait for awhile, wait for the redesign next year. That should feature an electronic parking brake, better infotainment compatibility, an all range cruise control, and will likely not have the vibration issue.

Great car, great price
Bought my '16 CR-V LX, front wheel drive, at the end of April, 2016 in Virginia. Paid $21,682, not counting taxes and license fees. [I bid it out to 8 dealers.] I have been totally pleased thus far, 5000 miles in. The car handles well for a vehicle this size -- no, it's not a sports car, but for an SUV, it's just fine. The ride is a good compromise between firm/controlled and comfort. Power is good -- I was surprised how much torque and power it has. There are more powerful cars on the road, but this works for me. I use and appreciate the transmission "Eco" mode, which gives better gas mileage, as well as providing somewhat smoother acceleration. Using "Eco" mode, I get exactly the advertised gas mileage -- 26 city, 33 highway. Braking is excellent. Visibility is excellent most directions, merely adequate out the back window. The car has wonderful storage capabilities, and I love the way you can put the back seats down with the pull of a lever. The controls for heating/AC and radio are simple -- thanks, Honda, for the knobs (I hate the touch screen on my '08 Prius). I like the multi-functional dash read-outs -- trip odo, gas mileage, etc. This is the lowest level model CR-V, and it has IMHO, all the gadgetry I could want, including bluetooth, backup camera, cruise control, remote lock, etc. The only thing I'd want, that's missing, is lane departure warning -- but that would require a significantly more expensive upgrade, so I'm ok without it. My only criticism would be of the rear seats -- there's a small gap between the seat cushions and the seatbacks. Great car for the price.

Great car
I love the car just what I wanted. It will carry our two standard poodles with ease. The car is easy to handle and the electronics are easy to figure out I love that I still have a couple player. And dual heat/air-conditioning. Wow. It will be a great car as we start our retirement years

Extremely great performance from Honda cars.
Honda has great cars but they need to quickly resolve the airbag recall issues. Extremely disappointed with Lisle Honda not honoring their email on Internet price! General Manager refused to set down for discussion, been customer for over twenty (20) years at this dealership.

Okay, but will probably get something else next ti
I purchased a 2016 Honda CR-V EX-L, after driving a leased 2014 model for 2 years. Ride is ok, it is quieter than the 2014 and feels a bit smoother. Did notice vibration after sitting at idle for some time. My most serious complaint is that the 'infotainment' system is extremely un-intuitive and requires too much driver intervention. Furthermore, not having android auto; which I was led to believe was available is not and the honda connect is almost worthless. I'm writing this in the hope that Honda owners will lobby Honda en masse to install android auto as well as the apple version in their models with the screen, it's terrible without it. Lane watch camera as well as back up camera are very good.

dissapointed in rhe ride and noise from roof.
I am extremely disappointed in several things with the 2016 Honda crv i just purchased. Dealership was great so that is not the issues but the vehicle itself has been very disappointing.First is it is so bumpy on the road we can hardly stand it, very stiff riding. secondly, when it rains the roof noise is awful. sound like a tin can, has no insulation in the roof area.I am so sorry we spent so much money on a terrible riding vehicle.

Exceptional auto!!!
This is the second Honda CRV that we have owned in the past 10 years. We just purchased the 2016 CRV all wheel drive or our daughter in Colorado and will be delivering it to her this week. We are so pleased with the Honda quality and style that we proceeded to order the Honda Accord Hybrid touring car which is going to be delivered to us next week. Driving the Honda Auto is truly a pleasure to behold! Happy owner in Arkansas in Colorado!
