Transmission woes

I owned a 2013 CRV and loved it.Walked through snow and ice no problem.Quiet ride, nice handling,no problems. Upgraded in 2016 to a new CRV.Loud ride, not great on snow and ice, poor radio without Sirus, and mostly needed a new transmission at 4,000 miles!! Yes my dealer warrentied it but replaced with same new transmission (floating transmission). Not acceptable to me so traded in . Bye bye Honda :(

Honda CR-V

The car performs well. The only real issue I have is that the seats do not recline comfortably. They hit hard right in the middle of the back. It is impossible to rest in this car. It is a little hesitant. But that may be because of the low mileage. Once worn in, it may be more responsive.

Honda CR-V Impressive Value

just purchased a 2016 CRV out of basic need. Have a 1998 CRV for the kids, worked well but rusing away in MI. I have not owned a Honda since my 1983 prelude which was a great machine. The new CRV is an awesome value, smooth as silk CVT, 29 mpg highway, the L has enough tricks to keep me interested.

Fab car

I've only driven our Touring model 1500 miles, and I already love it. We debated b/w the CRV and RDX for months, and in the end we went with the CRV simply due to the price difference. We purchased the Touring model primarily b/c of the wheels and the automatic tailgate, and I have to say they are two of my favorite features. I've had a bit of trouble with the navigation system: not recognizing very clear commands and it has neglected to pick up on roads near my home that have been there for 20+ years. One time it opted to take me an hour out of my way, even though I was only 15 minutes from my destination at that point. Luckily, I knew roughly where I was and ignored the directions. My gas mileage per tank is averaging 24.9, with a combo of city and highway driving with the AC and eco boost on- which is about what I expected. I highly recommend this model.

Not at all what I expected

Before we bought the 2016 CR V we read many reviews, most where good. I remember reading one of someone complaining that the vibrations of the suv were causing back pain. I rolled my eyes and said I don't believe that. Well we went on to buy the CR V. After only a few days I notice that my back was hurting a little while after driving it, I figured i just did something to it. Then my husband started complaining that his was also hurting after driving it. We only kept the vehicle for 4 months! It is the worst vehicle we have ever had. Not only was it causing back problems but it was very noisy to drive, the interior was far from nice and we had the touring edition, and it was already starting to drive funny at 7000 miles. I will never again go back to Honda of any kind. Please save yourself the backache, literally, and look for something else. We instead bought the 2017 Acadia and it amazing!

First Honda CR-V

Decided on the 2016 Honda CR-V Touring model after looking at a number of SUV brands. We specifically choose a Honda because of their known reliability and because we were planning to do some extensive traveling. Picked up the vehicle in November 2015 and took an 8,500 mile trip in May. Everything worked great except for the navigation system (the reason I cannot recommend the vehicle at this time). The system is completely unreliable and even dangerous at times. A few examples of what is does (or does not do) include giving directions to a Honda dealership in Rapid City, South Dakota that had moved 7 months earlier (and then nothing about where they moved to); directed to take left and right turns when no roads existed and one time when we were on a bridge in Pittsburgh, PA and, on mountain roads out west; will give a traffic congestion alert when there isn't any problem but doesn't give one when there is; did not allow us to input a known address that has existed for 60+ years in Pittsburgh; sent on a gravel road through a corn field in Indiana instead of staying on paved roads. Our dealership's service department is now waiting for special testing equipment from Honda to determine what is wrong with it. It sounds like this problem isn't unique to our vehicle. In the meantime we have to bring our IPAD with us and use Apple or Google maps until the navigation system is fixed or replaced. I expected better from Honda.

Great Honda CRV

I didnt get the top model because I do not really use all the bells/whistles. Great car but hard to rate being I put only 11 miles on it. NO regrets!!

My first Honda

The last two vehicles I have owned have been Nissan Rouges. They are great vehicles, but their engines are very noisy when you first start them up. Being from a gear-head family, I know loose valves when i hear them. I could never get Nissan to do anything about it. I only have around 500 miles on my CRV-EX and love driving this car. There are strange interior/paint matches that Honda offer, which you can't change. It's OK because I found a color scheme that I liked, but I had to purchase the CRV-EX to get it. The radio is a complex system that takes some time to figure out, and they don't offer XM in the EX model??? The reason I only gave 4 stars for the interior, plus the seats are OK but not the most comfortable that I've sat in.

Good car

This is my 5th CrV lease, I always went back because I liked the simplicity of their Navigation system and keypad. It all took one step, now, anytime you want to change a process you have to open the keypad enter the function and the go to that function and make your selection. What used to take one step now takes four, very complicated and the voice command is another complicated function. For this reason I did not give it a 5 star. Also, the car has never reached more than 22 miles to the gallon whether on highway, most of my driving, or city.

First New Car Purchased

We test drove a lot of SUVs and found the Honda CRV to be the best fit for us. The basic model has features other SUVs charge extra for, it's roomy for it's size, it handles great, and very comfortable interior. If I could change a couple things with the CRV, it would be the interior color options with the exterior paint. I had to settle for my third choice of color because they didn't offer both light and dark interior options with each exterior color. Also, the rims on the lower model and the higher model were better than the middle model...not sure why? Lastly, it would be nice if Honda offered better warranties....3y/36m is at the lowest end of the spectrum. Hondas are known for quality, why don't they offer a 5y/60K warranty like some of their competitors? Otherwise, great vehicle...we are extremely pleased.
