Expert 2023 Lincoln Nautilus review

Our expert's take

Full article

What Is the 2023 Lincoln Nautilus?

The 2023 Lincoln Nautilus is a mid-size luxury SUV with two rows of seats, a choice of turbo four-cylinder or V-6 engines, and front- or all-wheel drive. For SUV shoppers who want a relaxed and hushed ride, the calm demeanor of the Nautilus could be a perfect match. It doesn’t have the taut suspension and pinpoint handling of some rivals, but the Nautilus has a base price that’s notably less expensive than many similarly sized premium SUVs. A roomy cabin and large cargo hold are further pluses, as are the intuitive Sync 4 infotainment system and 13.2-inch touchscreen.

What’s New on the 2023 Lincoln Nautilus?

Lincoln has added a new Premium Package for the entry-level Standard trim level. This includes features like navigation, a universal garage door opener and a power-adjustable steering column. Other than that, the 2023 Nautilus is unchanged save a new exterior color, Jewel Sandstone.

What Features in the 2023 Lincoln Nautilus Are Most Important?

Standard features include:

  • 13.2-inch touchscreen
  • Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
  • 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster
  • Wi-Fi hot spot
  • Satellite radio
  • Dual-zone climate control
  • 10-speaker audio system
  • Automatic emergency braking and forward collision warning
  • Blind spot warning
  • Rear cross-traffic alert
  • Pedestrian detection
  • Lane departure steering assist

Available features include:

  • Leather seats
  • Heated and ventilated front seats
  • Heated steering wheel
  • Navigation
  • Wireless device charging
  • Panoramic moonroof
  • Adaptive cruise control
  • Surround-view parking camera
  • Adaptive suspension
  • 19-speaker Revel audio system

Should I Buy the 2023 Lincoln Nautilus?

The Lincoln Nautilus is a strong contender among five-seat luxury SUVs, especially for anyone who prioritizes driving comfort over pure sportiness. The standard 250-horsepower, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder is more than adequate, but the extra passing oomph from the optional 335-hp, 2.7-liter turbo V-6 make it a worthy upgrade. The Nautilus also has a handsome cabin that only gets better when you upgrade to a Reserve or Black Label trim.

  • I’m very satisfied with the Lincoln.

I’m very satisfied with the Lincoln. I enjoy driving it. It’s so smooth on the open road. Good acceleration. All the safety items are very comforting to have. I really like the crash warning. Has staged me from an accident twice. I have almost 50,000 in a little over two years. My next car will be a Lincoln Nautalist Hybred.

  • My new 2023 Lincoln Nautilus!

I’ve been driving a Lincoln since 1999 but always a sedan. My last sedan was the 2017 Continental. It’s unfortunate that model is no longer made and sold in the U.S. I decided to trade in my high mileage 2017 for a new small SUV and decided on the Nautilus. It’s perfect for me as I don’t like driving a huge truck like vehicle! It has all the options I like and I truly enjoy driving it. I’ve had it for two weeks and I’m truly impressed with its handling and performance! The Revel sound system is awesome! Well done Lincoln!

  • Lincoln, Great Car

The car rides and handles very well. Quiet ride, comfortable seats, plenty of room inside, legroom, headroom. Gas mileage is very good. It's a great value for your dollar. I would recommend this car to everyone.
