    Every drive is an event

    Have recently purchased a 2007, and my goodness is it a riot. One of the cheapest mid engine cars you can buy (except the MR2) and a great way to experience the new handling characteristics that come with that. You will get looks constantly so be sure you aren't an introvert, and make sure they don't have to watch your gymnast act to get in and out of this car. With 43,000 miles on the clock and no engine issues reported, you can be assured the drive train is strong on this car, but anything else and you are going to have to expect it to go bad. Not for the faint of heart (no power steering or comforts at all) but once you fall into one of these, you will never want to get out.

    Backs up its looks, AND it's affordable !!!!

    Very few cars on the road can back up exotic good looks. The Elise does. Rewards any real driver with anticipating your next move. Not for the daily driver crowd, but perfect for the enthusiast who wants to reconnect with the road. And connect with the road you will. No imperfections go without notice, but they don't upset your drive. The Elise just lets you know they're there and stays planted. At the track, everyone wants to give it a go and feel the Lotus magic. As Colin Chapman said, this is a car to which they "add(ed) lightness". Not the fastest car out there, but always one of the quickest at the end of the lap. If you want pure exhilaration, look no further. If you want to be coddled, don't even think about the Elise. And, icing on the cake, it's affordable to buy and CHEAPER to maintain than anything else even close to this level of performance.

    Dream Car

    Just a fun car to be in on a beautiful sunny day, beautiful car, My lotus attracts a lot of attention, I have been dreaming of the day that I would own my dream Car . Very happy my dream has come true.

    Most underrated car on the road!

    The most pure and raw driving experience I have ever had. The steering is telepathic, the power to weight is incredible, and the exterior styling draws almost too much attention. Top on and you have an affordable super car, top off and it's an exotic roadster. A little adjusting getting in the closest thing to a cockpit on the road, but once in, it's like driving a personal roller coaster; so thrilled once the ride is over you will want to get back in line and do it again! By far the most underrated car on the road.

    "most reliable car i've owned"

    very nice car, has great looks. difficult to get in the seating position but once your there your set for a ride.

    " Nice car to have JUST in driveway"

    Overall the $$ of the car is worth the horsepower you expect, but on the plus side it does handle like no other. In my opinion I'd go with an S2000

    A complete Joy Ride

    The Elise met every expectation I had of it. It requires certain sacrfices to own, but in my opinoin it is completely worth it.

    Amazing car

    Most fun you can have with your clothes on. Excellent car to own and drive. Toyota drive train is bullet proof, exotic styling, and pure, unadultered, intuitive handling makes this an absolutely magnificent car to drive.

    Best handling car I have ever driven!

    The fun factor driving this car is second to none. Once you get into the very low seats (this takes some body twisting) the driving postion is very comfortable. Handling & steering input make you fell in complete control of where you want the car to go. A super light body,frame,and 4-cylinder engine translate to 4.6 sec 0-60 times and excellent gas mileage not possible in other exotics. This is a very small car with beautiful styling,mid engine design,without exotic price.

    Overrated car!

    Not worth the money for its bang! Your paying a ton of $$$ for just the looks. Its basically a Toyota Celica GTS with a light weight body.
