Love it

Love it, perfect for me and my current needs. Zippy, plenty of room for me and my marketing materials. Little tight in back seat for occasional multi client lunches. Perfect for me on regular 2-5 hour drives.

Is an excellent car for my money

I really like the cx5 when it first came out back in 2014. At the time I just had bought a Chevy Tahoe. In 2016 when the new redesign cx came out I said to my self. I need to get me one. So I did the research on all the spects and with a little bit of money for the down payment I got a new 2016.5 cx5. I'm very happy with it. I'm now in the process to buy a Mazda 6. My cx5 grand touring has everything. I will be a long time Mazda customer for now. I would like for Mazda to build a new RX7. That would be awesome. For now I'm very happy and I strongly recommend. Thank you. J.Zapata Hawthorne CA

Best small SUV I have driven.

It has plenty of power for 2.5L engine. The handling is crisp and responsive. Interior materials are better than other small suvs I have driven. Among all the good standard features, rear view camera and blind spot monitoring with warning sound are what my family likes the most. Seats are comfortable, and the interior is roomy. I had a 2013 CR-V for 3 years, drove an 2017 Rav-4 for over 1,500 miles, and have a 2017 Rogue for about a month now. I like my 2016 CX-5 over the others.

Perfect size for our needs.

We needed good MPG as well as room to haul my husband's music equipment. The CX5 is perfect. Love the navigation feature!

Drives like a sports sedan

Overall, the car is great. It has decent interior room, excellent acceleration, braking and steering. Fuel economy is quite good for an SUV. My only real gripes are that the drivers seat is not designed for a person of my height (6'3"). It can get a little uncomfortable after very long road trips. Also, the stereo controls are a bit difficult, requiring you to take your eyes off the road to operate.

Sporty SUV with one big quirk

I have had the 2016 Maxds CX-5 Touring AWD for about 2 years and it now has 22000 miles on it. This is by no means a SUV. I say this because it drives like a car. The steering is very responsive and makes the vehicle easy to maneuver. Body roll is minimal. The vehicle doesn't have android auto or carplay compatibility but the Mazda interface is easy to use and works just fine. So far no technical or mechanical issues. My two gripes with the car are that the seats on the touring are not comfortable for long drives and the wind noise at freeway speeds is gruesome. I love driving it locally and i usually average 25 mpg considering the EPA of 22/30. Also, this car has one of the best clear backup camera(even at night time) with motion sensors. Get this car in Grand touring if you want it to be comfortable for both local and long drives. Grand touring has leather seats which are much comfortable compared to cloth seats in other CX-5 models. If my Touring CX-5 had around 250 HP and a quiet interior, it would be the perfect SUV for me.

I have not purchased one yet. In the market. My vehicle was stolen and considering the 2016. I did test drive the Mazda cx-5. Was extremely empresses with the smooth ride and how quite it was. Highly considering purchasing one soon.
