Drives like it is still new after 55,000 miles.
Bought it used. Perfect second car for our Florida home. Every thing you would want and a Mercedes ride and safety features. Never shows its age!

too expensive to get repaired at your shop
to expensive to work on at your service department. I cant afford to bring it back. I should have did more research on how expensive it is to bring to your dealership.

STILL ENJOY MY e550
The 2007 Mercedes e550 luxury sedan is a great car. Have owned mine now for 9 years. I was warned early on that the suspension would be the first major expense and the dealer was right. The only complaint I have is that the airmatic air suspension system is is poorly designed and over-engineered. If the inexpensive air reservoir gets a leak (very common), the entire back end has to be pulled off to replace it at a cost of thousands. When mine went, I went with an Arnott aftermarket product that bypassed the Benz design and saved me thousands and the car's been fine ($1,300 installed vs. $6,000 dealer). Not a car for someone adverse to spending money on repairs. But aside from the suspension issues, it's really been a fine ride.

Very attractive car. Will certainly turn heads.
This is one of the most luxurious cars I have every bought. It has everything you will want in a car and more. The ride is smooth even for an older car.

Modern diesel performance car.
Mid-size Benz handles well, relatively firm ride and precise steering. Interior front is comfortable for two above average size people, rear seat is best for smaller adults and children. Best feature is the 3.0L BlueTec diesel engine. LOTS of torque and power. More than the gas version, better mileage too. Mine gets 33-34 around town and between 37-39 highway (depending how fast you drive). I cruise at around 70 and get 36 or better. Passing is a breeze, in the rain be sure the traction control is on because it will break the tires loose from a standstill. Zero to 60mph in about 8 seconds. Watch out for a leaking oil cooler, very expensive repair ($1800) and most need it eventually. If you find a used one with the cooler already done you'll have a bulletproof car. ZF 7 speed German transmission. A great commuter or small family car.
