Good Performance Great Ride
The smoothest car I've ridden in. I have a corvette and the performance of the E550 is quite nice. Not a vette but for a luxury car it gets up and goes....

Best car
Needed a car for the wife. Safe, stylish, not to big. Does not look like old folks even though we are.

Still Not There
This was my 8th new Mercedes and I leased it in July 2007. I was hoping that Juergen Schrempp's ghost had been fully exorcised from the product. Sadly it wasn't. This is "price point" car with only the veneer of quality. In the pre 1993 cars, quality was deep, solid hard wood. I'd be very hesitant to buy the car in a snowy climate. The defroster doesn't work nor do the windshield wipers. But the 4Matic does work well. It's sad 'Das Beste oder Nichts' today is only advertising, not a guiding product philosophy.

Mercedes E-350
I drive about 600 miles per week on business. The mid-sized Merc is ideal for me. Not to big, not too small; it's just right! Adequate horsepower with decent fuel mileage for a two ton car. I get about 22.5 MPG around town and upwards of 25 on the highway. Would I like more power? Yeah. But this is a balanced tradeoff. Handles decently, it's about halfway between BMW and Lexus on the tradeoff between smooth ride and sporty handling. I know this must sound like a so-so review. It's not the most comfortable, best performing, best riding car I have ever owned. It is good at all those things but not great. What is great is following that three pointed star down the road.

UNBELIEVABLE AUTOMOBILE
Absolutely the best handling automobile I have ever owned or driven. Takes corners and curves tight and smooth. Great accelaration from a family sedan. Reasonably fuel efficient. Great styling and engineering - the Germans have thought of everything inside and out. Will not be the last MB I purchase!!

Loving it
I bought a used 07 E350, also own Acura TL. The Acura cannot compare to the Benz. This is the first Benz I ever owned, but I expect to buy many more. Great car.

I love this Car !
I've owned many cars in my day, but this is the first Benz. I came out of a Accord. The Benz offers security, safety, and luxury all in one vehicle. I love the look of the vehicle. If I had only one suggestion, it would be to get rid of the ash trays. And add some car phone jacks to make calling more private with passengers in the vehicle, or for cell phone charging. Performance is outstanding and the manual shifting allows for the sports car feel.

The Perfect Blend
The E550 is the perfect blend of luxury and performance. After looking for over a year it came down to the Mercedes-Benz E550 and the BMW 550. I bought an E550 with the Premium II Package which has a lot of nice technology built into it. The Mercedes is by far the definitive choice. The Benz is faster and a MUCH better ride. The BMW 550 handled corners better but on my 25 mile drive to work, I don't take corners over 100 mph (90 maybe). The MB E350 was also a very nice car, but the E550 (5.5L engine with 382 HP) is the way to go. The comfort of the E550 was far superior to the BMW 550. If you were torn like I was, go test drive an E550 Benz--you will not be disappointed

smooth luxury
This is a great car. IT is a 2009 E350 Avantgarde Edition. The Avantgarde Edition is when it comes with over $8000 in options which include a 510 watt Harmon Kardon stereo, COMAND, Heated front and rear seats, real leather, AMG package, and many more. It is very luxurious. tHe leather is soft and the black birdseye maple wood adds even more elegance. By far the best car I've ever owned.

A true "Benz" again
As rock solid as my 1995 E class. Bluetec motor is smooth, quiet and will plant you firmly into the car's supportive seats. The Benz "feels" like a Benz for the first time in a decade. Who needs counseling, this car is my "therapy." Glad to see Mercedes back on track. 25K miles and oil changes only.
