The automotive love of my life.

I kinda feel in love with the GT 3.0 model when I seen how cool vin Diesel looked zooming around if the fast and the furious I love almost everything about this cat, starting with how it fits like a glove, and envelopes my body when I opening the door and getting in . There could be a slight headroom issue if you're 6' or taller That's easily overlooked because once seated adjusted and buckled it feels almost perfect. The satisfaction continues when I start the 3.0 liter naturally aspirated v6 engine and heat it's throaty growl. It accelerates nicely ,but leaves you wanting just a bit more .handled superbly on the freeway and in traffic.I can handled some hairpin turns at 50+ mph where lots of other comparable cars have to slow down to 25-30 mph . ( however I don't recommend that you do that .I tend to push performance cars to their absolute limits .the car is moderately easy mechanically speaking to work on .The engines oxygen sensors are a pain in the neck and can really throw a lot of other stuff crucial to high performance for a loop if I don't stay after it. Seems like it's quite a bit more difficult to satisfy the service engine soon light after the odometer goes pass 130,000 or so .the one big bright red flag with these cars would be the timing belt and how the motor is pretty much toast if I breaks while driving .Any driver buying this model should immediately replace the timing belt upon purchasing if the odometer has 80 thousand or more.

Great car Minor issues

Got my car used for 6k not even less than an hour started dying on me it was wiring issues but other than that the car is good if I could name any other cons it would be the fwd and car ignition not working sometimes due to the fact that it needs to be fully in park.

Love to drive, hate to fix

I have always wanted this body style since the day I first saw one in high school. Finally got one, 17 years later. Love the way it drives, love how comfortable I felt driving it ... But hate how it has many issues. Engine issues.

Great commuter or just a fun car to zip around wit

Great commuter or great to zip around town or get out of town for a weekend with plenty of storage space in back. Great car for the price.

The only car I've owned

This car is great. It meets all my needs. There's plenty of leg room in the front and in the back. The coloring is nice and it takes me wherever I need to go.

Economical and Reliable Sports Car

Excellent handeling, economical to own and operate. Requires Premium gasoline, but mpg is consistently in the upper 20's. Responsive steering, handeling and braking. Convertible is excellent for the southwest with plenty of sunshine.

EXCELLENT ECONOMICAL SPORTY

BEST CAR EVER OWNED,HAVE HAD MORE THAT 35 VEHICLES OVER THE YEARS, SECOND BEST WAS MY FACTORY ORDERED 1999 MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE SPYDER, WITH THE SMALLER 4 CYL. AUTO TRANSMISSION. ONLY ISSUES WITH ONE WERE NORAL WEAR ON TIRES AND BREAKS. AS WITH EVERY VEHICLE I HAVE EVER OWNED, ALL RECOMMENDED SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE WAS ALWAYS DONE, FLUID CHANGES ALWAYS BEING DONE USING BEST QUALITY PRODUCTS. PROBLEMS I EXPERIENCED WITH THE CAR AFTER PURCHASE, WERE ALL RELATED TO VEHICL BEING PARKED AND NOT DRIVEN, THAT WILL ACCELERATE SEAL, BEARING AND OTHER MOVING PARTS MUST BE LUBRICATED TO LAST THE LIFE EXPECTANCY. I WAS 3RD OWNER, PREVIOUS DIED AND ESTATE WAS NOT SETTLED IMMEDIATELY.

One of the best cars I've owned

This coupe was a great fit for me. The interior design wasn't too over done and and the cars performance is amazing. Gas mileage on this car is pretty decent and the inside is spacious. The car does sit a little low but it's a fun little coupe.

USED CAR IN ALMOST NEW CONDITION

My second Mitsubishi Spyder. Very reliable, great styling, economical to drive and own, nice road trip vehicle. Purchased it used, replaced everything that was required to keep it in top condition. has severe me well, has served its original purpose , but changes in life, will serve a better purpose to next lucky owner that has a quality used car at a lower than new car cost, savings will be worthwhile.

Reliable economical great megs, head turner!

My second Spyder, love the handling, performance, great styling, comfortable ride. If required maintenance is done as per mfg. suggestion, will serve it's owner very well. Timing belt change is critical, if neglected, and it breaks, very expensive engine rebuild will be required.
