Best valued car I've owned!

Very well designed. Comfortable with a stylish interior. Great safety features are part of the base price. All-wheel drive is fantastic in the Michigan winters.

Completely satisfied :)

I previously owned a 2015 Forester, and I so I decided to get a newer model. I love my previous car, and the one is just as great! I love the updated panel display, very easy to use. I also appreciate the additional passenger and storage space in the back. I am very glad that I chose to get the newer model :)

Love this car

This is my second Subaru. So many new features have been added that weren’t on my 2011 Outback. The backup camera is wonderful and I feel so much more secure when backing. The digital information on the dash is easy to read and operate. There are many other safety features that are standard now on the Forester. The ride is very comfortable and it is easy to see out while driving. Most important is that Subarus are very dependable, and the dealership gives wonderful service. I would never consider buying any other car.

Defective Windshield

The windshield cracked the first week I purchased the car. You'll notice from reading other reviews that many owners have experienced their windshields crack easily or for no apparent reason. This is most likely due to the windshields being special glass that allow the Eyesight cameras to work. The big problem is that the warranty does not cover cracked windshields and the replacement glass does not solve the issue. The replacement windshields are also around $1,000. This means if you purchase a 2019 Subaru Forester you might end up spending thousands of dollars out of pocket for replacement windshields over the course of owning the car. Subaru has already been in class-action lawsuit for defective windshields in older models. If you Google "2019 Subaru Forester defective windshield" you'll see more details on the issue and see that this is effecting many owners. PROs There's a lot of visibility from all windows except the back window. The back seats are roomy compared to other compact SUVs including the 2019 RAV-4. The car turns well and comes equipped with tons of features. CONS The windshield is defective. The height of the car is lower than a lot of compact SUVS so you don't get the benefit of being able to see over cars. The USB plugs are tucked away under the main console so they are hard to reach. It gets worst gas mileage than advertised. The auto/start-stop feature and anti-collision features turn on every time you start the car so if you don't want to use them you have to turn them off every time the car turns on. The blindspot lights that flash when a car is in your blind spot are very bright (almost like a flash light) and very distracting. They are located on the sideview mirrors. There are a ton of safety feature alarms on the car so alarms are constantly beeping at you which is annoying and distracting. There's an alarm when you get to close to another vehicle, when you take to long to drive forward after the light turns green, when you cross over to another lane etc. Constant alarm noise all the time. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this car. Subaru has a lot of great cars it's made in the past but this model is not one of them.

Confusing technology

This might turn out to be the nicest car we've ever owned. The amount of technology is totally overwhelming however. There are probably 40 buttons, two constantly changing screens. Regardless I love the car.
