Love My Forester!

My new Forester has exceeded, no, blown away all of my expectations. Couldn’t be happier with the decision that we made to buy this car. There’s peace of mind knowing that I’m in one of the safest cars on the road, not to mention the way it handles. The gas mileage is exceptional too!

Has a dangerous mind of it's own

I was SO excited when we first bought this about 3 months ago. That lasted about 3 days. The safety features are constantly alarming and activating for almost anything. It is always complaining that my eyes are not on the road when they are straight ahead on the road. My husband and I are wondering if the reflection on my sunglasses is causing problems? It's also braked on it's own in the middle of an intersection and I almost got hit! I was backing up a driveway that was rather steep, and the backup sensor detected the DRIVEWAY and slammed the brakes on, terrifying my toddler. I swear, the first thing I do is disable about 9 different dangerous features each time I start the vehicle. When it rains, a slow puddle builds up on the windshield and then splatters on the windshield. I've never driven a car, where the design of the car actually create more water in the viewing area than the rain itself. It's just SO ODD! I want to love it, but I don't. The Android Auto feature is not working well at all. One day it was stuck on maps speakers (which is one single speaker in the back that you can barely hear). I couldn't get it to go back, even with Android Auto disabled. I was worried I would need to take it in, but after restarting the car about 10 times, it went back to normal. I miss my old Escape :(

Second Subaru Forester I owned

I previously owned a Subaru that I put 135,000 miles on and was very pleased with. The new car has so many features added. I really like all the new safety features (blind spot detection, rear traffic alert, back-up camera)

Solid, safe and roomy mid-sized SUV!

I was transitioning from a large SUV (a Pilot) that felt safe and allowed me to sit high enough to see the road but was awkwardly large when it came to driving on narrow highways or parking in tight spaces. Finding the Forrester checked all the boxes for a smaller car with driver seating that was higher than a sedan, had ample room in the back seat plus great cargo space, had AWD and an excellent safety profile..

Bells and Whistles Galore

This car has all I need and more. The ride is nice and easy. The features are easy to use. Although there is a lot to learn, most is common sense, but if needed the manual is easy to understand.

Reliable Model ( From Assessments I've Read)

Since I just purchased the car two weeks ago, it's a bit premature to write a full review just yet. It seems to be a smooth ride. The start/stop braking mechanism at lights/stop signs takes getting used to. Good safety features, such as blind spot indicators and lane departure signals, are helpful.
