Fun to drive a subaru

Roomy interior. Great safety features and is fun to drive. Much better car than the 2010 Chevy equinox it replaced. The engine has more power.

Newer is not always better

It's a Subaru so it is an excellent automobile. Their reputation speaks for itself. We had a 2014 that we absolutely loved but it was beginning to show its age so we upgraded to the new model. In many respects it is a better vehicle. Better suspension, better headlights, throttle response finally improved. Mechanical items are just better. BUT, the little things like interior storage are worse. And the suite of electronic safety features are too intrusive.

Roomy and easy to get in and out of for seniors with hip and back ailments. The visibility and safety features make this SUV a winner in its class.

I love Subaru vehicles

My first experience with Subaru was my Crosstrek. I have always viewed vehicles as simply what I need to get around. When I found Subaru I discovered I could actually love my vehicle. I am a Subaru customer for life! I feel both safe and comfortable in them. Yesterday I traded the Crosstrek for a Forrester Sport and I love it!

Shoulda never left Subaru

Years ago I had a Forester that went 300K miles before she finally croaked. I loved that car! When she died, I got an Impreza that saved my family in a horrible collision. After that trauma I went another direction and got a Jeep Renegade that ended up dying at only 30K! Three months ago I decided it was time to head back to Subaru... ...where I test drove and fell completely in love with the 2019 Forester. Previous recent Forester body styles always looked a little dorky to me, but this year's re-do is pretty sleek! The exterior, though, is probably my least favorite aspect of the car as it's sleek-ER but still kinda boring. I'm driving a dark grey SUV just like everyone else is. I got the Premium model which has just enough fancy to keep me interested and not enough fancy to spike the price tag. Plus I got that big beautiful Forester moonroof back in my life. Leg room and headroom is phenomenal, and is even better in the "reclinable" back seat (quotes on that because think airplane seat-level recline). My 8-year-old daughter can stretch out back there like the queen she is. Cargo space is massive; I can fit a ton of stuff without having to fold down the back seat. The safety features are wonderful. Some people may find them annoying but after experiencing a bad accident, I am grateful every time the car gently beeps to alert me. In addition, the intelligent cruise control is incredible! Set your max speed and the car can take it from there. It can even handle a normal merge situation. This car rides well, handles well, is quiet, comfortable, and safe. Fingers crossed that she'll live to see 300 just like her grandma did.

Very impressed so I bought it.

I really like the size, comfort and quality of the Forester. I've owned it for a year and have over 11,000 miles on it without any issues. I test drove the Hyundai Tuscan, Honda CRV and Mazda 5 and preferred the Forester overall. While it took me a while to get used to all the automatic safety features provided by Eye-Sight, such as auto braking and "smart" speed control, all is now well. The only negatives, and they aren't big ones, are: Gas mileage is slightly below expectations, but within specified parameters, Alarm light flashes when engine is off, whether or not the car is locked, leaving you guessing if it is locked - irritating, On start the radio (sound) turns on, whether or not it was on at shutoff - irritating. Dealer says there are no fixes for the two irritating items. Subaru what say you???

All the safety features available in one car.

This car makes you feel very safe Drives beautifully, is very comfortable, and has an amazing sound system. There is a lot to learn about all the technology, but it's worth the time .

Trouble from the start

Like it fine, but in the first few months it was in for service 6 times. Twice because outer side molding was peeling off. Then the I started getting email warnings that some safety features were not operating and it needed a new computer module (2 service visits). Then the same thing again and two more service visits.
