Eight years ago, when my 15 year old car (bought used) was on its last legs, I was determined to buy a used VW diesel, relatively new. I quickly discovered that there none was available, so I decided to buy a new one, assuming that if I didn't like it I could sell it for what I paid for it. My diesel interest was in getting better Mileage while lowering emissions. Since I had no particular dealer in mind, I went to four different dealers in a 25 mile radius of where I live near Pennington to see what they had to offer. The salesman at one had to keep asking others to answer my questions; at another, when I asked the salesman what he drove, he said Volvo (!) because they had had them for years (his boss also berated him in front of clients, which really offended me); at last I went to Flemington VW and had the good luck to meet Jason Haye....who had the answers none other did, knew the product backwards and forward, put himself in my shoes so he could see things the way I was, and also arranged a good finance plan. While the car exceeded all of our expectations it was, unfortunately, one of the models that was part of the emissions issue with VW. Since it was eight years old, and with almost 100,000 miles on it, we made the Hard decision to return it to VW and accept their buyback offer. The harder decision almost was with what to replace it? Again, with Jason's benevolent guidance, we settled on a 2018 Tiguan, and couldn't be more pleased. My greatest concern in switching back to gas from diesel was the loss in mpg, but we are pleasantly surprised as it's averaging more than 32 mpg so far!...and we know that if we have any issues, we have only to call Jason to resolve them. He is one who looks after his customers year after year, and we couldn't be happier with him and the rest of the staff.
