The 2024 BMW X1 is nimble and responsive. It has an excellent memory for self-driving the car to back out of tight parking spots along the path the driver used to get into it. The car feels spacious inside and is easy to get into. My observed hwy mileage is 36mpg @ 75mph and 22mpg in suburban driving. It’s defects are: 1) the driver must learn how to start from a stop to avoid a sluggish pick-up or a sudden forward jerk; 2) the owner’s manual does not include directions for setting up the electronics, so the owner must resort to a complex cryptic in-car system that is difficult to sort through; 3) the built-in navigation system's is hard to use; the owner will resort to Waze or Car Play; 4) the car is bumpy on rough surfaces, and vibrates like a massage unit on washboard.

Great service from Greg Jackson. Had my car serviced with state Inspection and since my car was still within warranty, only had to pay the state Inspection fee. Car was washed, too, and the gentleman who guided me into the garage was really kind and helpful. Thank you both!

The car-buying process is generally terrible, but we give Mag, Chuck and the rest of the team at Sheehy a lot of credit for making it about as painless as could be. Our conversations over pricing were clear and direct. And they were very flexible with our schedule when we went in to finalize the deal. In the often slimy world of car sales, we couldn't have asked for a much smoother experience.

So reliable and fun to drive, even in snow. I’m tall and seats are comfy, even in rear. Very versatile with good cargo space. Love the kick-to-open rear door. Mileage is around 28 mpg, it requires premium fuel. It drives a little sluggish when not in Sport mode.

My car experience was excellent. I found my new car online and it was available at the Rockville dealership which is a nice facility. I was not at the dealership for hours. We recently acquired a 2025 BMW i4 x-drive at BMW of Fairfax, VA and are very happy with it. The first day we worked with Darren Andre and did a test drive and he very thoroughly and patiently answered all our questions about the car. Clearly, he knows a ton about these cars. Then, a couple of days later, we did the sales process with Jordan Warnecke. Both were very professional and knowledgeable and took their time to explain everything. The sales process with Jordan went very smoothly and was hassle free. He quickly determined our preferences and laid out our options and discounts available to us. He was courteous and efficient. When I took delivery of the car, there was a pouring thunderstorm, but he made sure I understood the basic controls of the car so I could get home safely. And he later followed up with a second session to explain the car controls in more detail. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend BMW of Fairfax to others.

With covid and with a 7 month old, we really didn’t want to spend hours and hours at the dealer. We worked most of the deal out over the phone and had minimal to do when we arrived to test the vehicle and sign paperwork. Just picked-up the X1 on Mar 28th and had a great ride home from the dealership. Handles very well on the road with ample torque when needed. Hate the start/stop mechanics and the fact that you must deactivate each time. Hate the ConnectDrive thing—beware this is a sinister ploy to get more of your dollars and convert once standard car features into subscription services. It is evil. Love the interior. This is my third BMW, so I think this X1 interior is quite good for the money and I am astounded by the standard features list—Wow! And there’s a spare tire with tools in the trunk, WHAT!? I use a touch screen all day, so the tech is no stretch, as long as it works. We shall see, the OS is new. Dual clutch….hmmm, it has its advantages, but smooth take off ain’t one of ‘em. The seats are superb and the cabin very clean. Love the cargo space. This is a good vehicle for a certain group of buyers who want cargo and fun. This is a smart ICE choice, and I hope there will eventually be a U.S. bound iX1.

Most comfortable car I have ever driven. My 6th BMW. So easy to get into tight parking spaces. Brakes a bit tight- need to get used to!
