For years, my credit report was a mess. I had a criminal record erroneously attached to my credit file, which alone cost me countless opportunities, jobs, apartments, and financing. On top of that, my report was loaded with 11 hard inquiries and 3 derogatory items. The combination completely tanked my credit score, leaving it stuck in the low 500s. I felt trapped and hopeless.
