Used BMW hatchbacks for sale near Millbrae, CA

We were looking for a fiat 500e and had a test drive in it, but then got drawn to a BMW i3 with range finder. What a very nice car. Staff (Dan) was extremely friendly as were the other young guys. I was a bit reluctant about the car at first because I had not done any research on it, but had a feeling I could trust them. The car drives like a dream with no issues. Came with brand new tires. Would really recommend them.

I’ve been driving my i3 for a little over a month now and I love it. This thing is fast! I love that there is a range extender in it as well. 2.5 gallons of gas will recharge your battery and get you another 80 miles. I also really like that they used recycled materials for the interior. We went to brown county indiana which is an hour 1/2 from where we live, it’s very hilly there, this car charged itself for the most part going down the hills. We drove 15 miles around two lakes and only lost a mile in battery range. Wasn’t until we were almost home that the range extender kicked in. This car is also pretty roomy. 4 people easily and comfortably fit in the car. If you are looking for an inexpensive but quality EV option, I would absolutely recommend the 2019 bmw i3, I’m happy I started my EV journey with this car and plan to only have electric vehicles from this point on.

I test-drove the Tesla Y and the BMW i4. Both had great acceleration and many desirable features. However, the BMW felt more luxurious, higher in overall quality, and newer in design. I have been driving the BMW i4 eDrive 40 for about two weeks. Because I am new to EVs, it took me a while to learn the many features. The dealer process took several hours to explain things and I returned briefly several times to request further explanation on specific points. Owners should be conversant with cell phones and computers to use the features. I am still waiting for the QMerit Level Two Charger to be installed but regular 110 Volt house current has been adequate to recharge the car after a normal commute. The car is actually a hatchback, with the trunk being capable of lifting high. The rear seats fold down, so the trunk is quite voluminous. I didn't like the vertical grills at first but they are growing on me and I consider the car beautiful inside and out. It is a pleasure to drive. I am already wedded to electric cars and doubt I'll ever get another ICE car.

Just received my Alpina B6 that I purchased sight unseen and had shipped to the East Coast. I couldn't find another B6 anywhere in the country with all of the options and a color I wanted. It is beautiful, as described. I found Horatiu to be frank and very helpful in walking me through the uncertainty of such an expensive purchase from 2500 miles away. He answered all of my questions quickly, helped set up the inspection at a local BMW dealer, made me a few extra keys for the wheels, and after the deal was done, money wired and car shipped, continued to be responsive when I had a question or needed additional paperwork. I am not a person who likes to bargain, so for me, knowing that he sets a price and sticks to it, was a definite plus! The car is currently at my BMW dealer, getting wrapped and snow tires and a few other extras, and it is getting admiring looks from customers and the BMW dealer employees. My i4 eDrive 40 is a great car. Plenty of pep. Comfortable interior. Quality construction. GPS/Radio Controls/various interfaces ... not so good. You have to know what you are looking for, and ofter, go down too many levels to get to the proper input/output. More switches and dials would be better.

I had screaming scratching sound coming from under the right side of the bottom of my car every time a went over a bump or onto a driveway. I thought my fender was rubbing on the tire. Friday Mar. 6, I emailed Wayne Chan immediately and told him I would be there in one hour. He test drove the car on a Friday at noon, He said leave it and he will provide a loaner. Late Friday I received an email with a photo of a 6-inch screw which had lodged in the undercarriage near the fender and each time it bounced it created the friction sound. Early Monday morning, Wayne texted me and said car is ready for pick up. It is a 2025 550E and Wayne was kind enough not to charge for the testing, repair, or loaner. Thank you BMW Mtn. View. I've had EVs since 2012. First was a Nissan Leaf, then a VW eGolf, then an Audi A3 etron. Those were all outstanding cars, but compared to all of those the i4 eDrive40 is in a different class. It's very responsive and quick. It feels extremely high-tech and plays Hans Zimmer iconic sounds. When we've gone on longer trips, consistently gets 280-300mi / 100% charge. Unless we're on a trip, I only charge it to 80% and it gets about 220-240mi on a charge. It's amazingly smooth and solid, and the interior is top notch. The M-Sport Pro package with custom color and leather made it at the top of the price range, so from a value perspective it seems excessive.

I have the M50 version of the iV. I love the independence and drive of the electric car. It has super power, sometimes surprising do. It accelerates instantly and with tons of power. I also love the hatch back; lots of room in the trunk space. My issue with the car is primarily the fact that it really is a sorts car: quite low to the ground, which isn't the easiest at my age (71) to get into. Because of the demand for the car when I bought it, I had to make a decision without really test driving it. The i5 wasn't yet available, and I wanted electric but not the huge iX, so the iV was my only option for an electric at the time. The tires on the car are mounted on 19" rims, so the tire face is thin. This means that the tires puncture or tear quite easily, like just gently scraping a curb. I just bought a set of snow tires with 17" rims but all-season tires are not yet available (hope they will be soon!). This had added a significant unforeseen cost to the annual maintenance if the car. Good car if you aren't troubled by these issues but maybe pass on the iV of you are and head to the i5 or another manufacturers EV.

I’ve got my last 2 cars here and very happy with all interactions. Artem is the sales department is a great guy and strait y. I’ve got an X3 and M4 through him. Recently my X3 was in for an issue that was successfully diagnosed and repaired. Dealer servicing is usually the more expensive way to go though my cars are still under original (M4) or extended (X3) warranties. Vernon in service has been a pleasure to work with.

As a BMW driver for decades (318i, 328i), I reluctantly switched to Tesla when the Model S became the first practical EV. I wanted to drive electric more than I wanted to be loyal to (IMHO) the best line of sedans and coupes on the planet. I loved the S, too, but after 12 years it was having problems, support was rotten, and it was time for a replacement. Fortunately, all the manufacturers have EVs now. Although I test drove several other makes, I was delighted to see that the BMW i4 was my favorite. When it started to look like tariffs were going to increase prices, I abbreviated my search and went for the Bimmer. By chance, the dealer had a 2024 shop loaner available with low mileage and a lower price than a brand new 2025 so I leased it. (Incidentally, it was less expensive in absolute dollars than the Model S was in 2012!) I'm glad I "pulled the trigger" when I did and I love the car. Handling is excellent. It "feels like" a BMW despite slightly lighter steering than my last 328. It's feature-rich and I'm still learning the ancillary controls. I'm OK with CarPlay although Tesla's own infotainment system is better. The driver assist is good and automatic stop/start in heavy traffic is a joy although I still prefer steering myself under better conditions. I think most BMW drivers will feel likewise. I haven't used self-parking other than a demo in the dealer's lot but I promise to try it. I don't expect to need a lot of service - it's an EV - but at least BMW takes phone calls! The cell phone app is better than Tesla's and it's NOT the only way to schedule service. My only real objection is the location of the charge port at right-rear which will make it awkward to use short-corded Tesla Superchargers even once BMW concludes a deal with Tesla. The i4 has more "hard" controls - which I prefer for eyes-on-the-road driving - than Model S but its voice recognition commands are more limited. Its navigator has the same voice as Model S but gives more frequent bum steers. All in all, I'm very glad I made the switch. And I didn't give money to the Little Dictator who works for the Big Dictator!
