It's all about the B58 in the M40i. I dinged it one star on comfort because this little SUV rides quite "sporty" even in Comfort mode. I absolutely love this about the car, but I could see how some would feel this is too harsh as it is not a luxurious, cushy ride. But tuck this little beast into a fast corner and it's just...wow! This little German SUV is a sleeper. While the X3M is very nice, the M40i is the perfect balance in my opinion. BMW has really stepped up their game in the X3.

STAR AUTO MALL: Worst car dealer EVER! I bought a 2017 BMW X3. They never checked the car! I had problems immediately! I called, emailed & texted... Star Auto Mall would NOT return my calls, texts or emails! I went to BMW dealer, and they found lots of issues! Wires hanging down, tires rubbing, etc. It cost me $480 to fix it! I billed Star Auto Mall, and it looks like they're just chucking me the finger!! AVOID these incompetent thieves! My wife and I have purchased many new vehicles (including premium domestic and foreign brands) over the past 25 years, but our buying experience at State Motors has been the best, by far. By any measure, State Motors is in a class by itself; truly exceptional. Everyone we met was genuinely welcoming and friendly, and the entire management was clearly committed to ensuring we were satisfied with our 2025 Aviator in every way. No high pressure sales practices and no efforts to sell you any "extras." The facilities are excellent. Our salesman was a subject matter expert (unusual in our experience), and management demonstrated a passion for their product and customer care. If you are in the market for a premium luxury brand, you owe it to yourself to look at Lincoln and, in particular, at State Motors.

Biggest negative on the X5 is the run flat tires. I think they reduce the quality of the ride and at 5,000 miles had to replace two flat tires ---- non-repairable damage.

These guys are absolutely phenomenal!! Zero push, zero problems! I have never ever bought a vehicle with this much ease and quickness!! They had me done on their end before my bank was done! This will be my buying home from now on!! They even re detailed my truck! It already looked great!!

Very comfortable, with massaging seats plus heated and cooled seats. I’m not sure that it’s a great value because it is expensive. The adaptive cruise control and the lane keeping work very well and almost make it self-driving.

Our 2022 X5 was a beautiful car to us. Unfortunately it didn't work for us as my wife is handicapped and found it difficult to get in and out of - it's higher than one would expect and came to realize the seats are more inboard than other cars that are direct competitors. The 3 inch door sill was almost like a running board and contributed to her struggles. Even though we had the multi-contour seats, we found the lower cushion seat side bolsters too firm for any drive more than an hour. The seat back was fine. While driving around town and 2 lanes was great, it didn't track as well on the highway as one would expect, even after an alignment (it was off at delivery). Our old Volvos were much better in that regard. The positives include the exterior and interior design/layout, the quality, ride, handling and power. It also still has a few buttons, albeit a bit small when driving. The headlights were awesome and the gas mileage was better than expected, 21 around town and 28+ on the highway. Our situation is unique, and after 7 months we sold the car to a tall, able bodied couple.

I was in the area on vacation and my fluid low light came on. I drove to this dealership and was met by Dan and Craig. Dan moved my car up to where he topped off the fluid canister under the hood. He was so polite and accommodating. Craig looked my interest in a Range Rover Evoque. I will wait on him to work his magic so that a deal can be made. Thanks everyone at this Cary dealership. I bought a 2021 BMW X5 4.0 with the M Sports Package and this had been one of best vehicles ever owned. The reliability, comfort and curb appeal adds to it value. I traded a 2016 Lexus GX 460 for the X5 and have no regrets!

I love the car and at the same time I can't help to hate it. What I love about the car would be the luxurious interior, comfortable and quiet cabin, smooth ride, ease of access, and a few extra features that were put in as an add-on. What I don't like about this car would be the poor fuel economy for the 30i model, especially when compared to the B-58 engine. Apple carplay connection issues, no option for remote start unless I want to void warranty, and no option for the iDrive Recorder App. Exterior Styling - 8.5/10 Interior Styling - 9/10 Comfort - 9.5/10 Cargo space - 8.5/10 Driving smoothness - 9.5/10 Horsepower - 7/10 Fuel Economy - 3/10 It's been an overall fun car to get around in. It's easy to get in and out of, smooth on bumpy roads, and it is quiet. The fact that only 2022 models and newer offer remote start and iDrive recorder is a big disappointment. But I think my biggest disappointment would be the fuel economy. As I had the B-58 in the past and averaged out 11.5L/100km and in this X3 am averaging 13.5/100km which was worse than my pick up truck. I might not keep this car for long-term just because of how poor the fuel economy is.

Only have been driving the car for a week, but it is clearly the best SUV I have experienced. My wife drives the Mercedes 300 - a fine car as well, but I have always preferred BMY engine performance and handling. The X3 is simply a pleasure to drive.

Fantastic dealership to work with. We drove from a couple hours away and had some of the prep stuff taken care of before we arrived. When it was all said and done with the test drive, we were out of there in a hour!

I have this car for 26,000 miles now. This is the best X5 that I have ever owned. The new engine is great on the xdrive 40i. No need for the M60. 0-60 in 3.9 seconds. Handling is great. Tires and much better than on the previous generation. The ride is tight and comfortable. They did an awesome job. Hopefully, this car will last as long as my previous 2010 X5.

Great car. Wish it didn't come with run flat tires which I believe lessens the quality of the ride, and they wear out quickly. Other than that, no real complaints. Car is truly the ultimate driving machine.

After a couple of weeks of my husband generously sharing his car, I felt it was time to get my own. I spent four solo days shopping in and out of dealerships, driving various brands. But none were the right fit for me. Then I remembered my sister purchasing and loving, a Nissan Rogue. So the next day, my husband and I stopped into Kline Nissan. He had been online and found a gently used Rogue and called to see if it was available. Christian Pierfelice promptly replied to his inquiry and knew we were coming in the next morning. He had this auto pulled up in front of the showroom warming it up on this cold February morning. As things happen, the show room got full so his colleague partner, Grant Carl offered to help us check this auto out. Grant had me drive the Rogue while learning a lot of new things needing to know. Between Grant and Christian, both showed remarkable knowledge. They fit together in a confident, respectful partnership that made it easy for us to learn lots. I believe we have the best of both of them attending to our questions, relaxed and appearing to love autos in general. Only had the X5 for 4 weeks now but so far it is an awesome vehicle that runs and drives great. It appears to be very well built with good body lines and fit. Some of the safety features and electronic systems take some time to get set up properly for the best driving experience but the reward is well worth the time as everything is customizable for two drivers. Only bad thing is that a mower along the roadside threw a stone and put a chip in our paint and the paint isn’t self healing.

I cannot believe that BMW put a 4 cylinder with turbo in an X3. It is the single problem I have with my car. otherwise it is perfect. The 6 cylinder in my 2005 was Awesome!!!!! BMW stands for Performance, GIVE IT.
