I recently went into West Herr to check out prices and information on possibly purchasing my leased 2016 228 convertible. I had no intention of purchasing a car that day. I was checking out the various possibilities for what I might do after my lease ran out. I had even entertained the possibility of buying a lesser brand off lease vehicle for my use which is not much as I am nearing 84 and drive about 4k miles a year.
Kyle Walsh offered to assist me and did so beautifully. He answered every question and gave me several possibilities of what I could do about just turning the car back in and buying something else or purchasing my current car and what that would take, interest-rates and all of that. He
was very thorough about making sure that I understood which I appreciate . It wasn’t till we had been working together for approximately an hour that he asked if I had thought about leasing a new BMW and I told him I didn’t think I could afford it. He said well let’s check it out and he began to go through the roster of vehicles that were available on the lot. As it happened he came upon a 2018 X2 and showed me how leasing that car was actually the best possibility for me. And I agreed. We arrived at a cost That appealed to me and we made the deal. They actually prepared the car that afternoon so that I had the car the same day. I bought the car actually without having even driven it, so unlike me.
I appreciated Kyle’s easy attitude and his respecting that I didn’t need or want to be pushed. He and Resident Genius Mitch help unload my old car into the new car and I was off. I think I will be very happy athough I’ve only driven the car one day as I live in New York City but leave my car in Rochester at my daughter’s. I’ve had enough of getting my car trashed in the Big Apple. Oh well…… Russell

Excellent service on my 2004 Envoy resulted in 12 years and 170000 miles of great driving. Steve Page has been my salesman for GM products since 1994 and has been a joy to work with. Looking forward to this new vehicle, as it incorporates all the features I was looking for (AWD, cloth seats, towing package, ease of entry and exit, cargo space for transporting material to my cabin in the woods)
Dan, Jeff, Tom and the entire sales and finance team are very friendly, down to earth people that treated me the way I treat people. They were upfront with everything they said and it is not your typical car salesman experience which is a breath of fresh air.
Last week on my drive to work my wiper blades stopped working, I was fortunate in that I was not far from Ralph Honda when it occurred. I explained the situation to Service Advisor Steve Pecora, and as is always the case when I have dealt with him, he was very accommodating. Even though he was short of technicians that day, he said he would get someone to look at my vehicle. When he realized the shuttle driver was going to take a while, he found someone else to take me to my place of work, Steve communicated what needed to be repaired, and the part I need was ordered and the repair was complete. Steve also had the technician complete some recall work that was needed, This type of customer service is why I have only had service performed at Ralph since I have owned my 2011 Accord.
My Honda Accord had an air bag recall. I brought the car in on July 2018 because there was noise when I applied my brakes. Said they couldn't hear any noise but cleaned debris behind brake rotor. Driving home, noise still there.
Nov. 28, 2018 brought car back for recall - mentioned noise still there - resurfaced rear brake rotors, cleaned serviced and lubed rear brakes.
No more noise when I apply brakes.
High marks for Steve Pecora for how busy he was that day
Matt Farnes was the salesman who took care of me. I talked to him quite a bit on the phone, and via text. He was very responsive and easy to deal with. A salesman at another dealership was too busy to handle the sale. When you are buying a $60,000 truck, you expect to have an attentive and knowledgeable sales professional to work with you, and Matt was just that. I cannot say enough about how good he is. I first spoke to him in the morning, and I drove my new truck home that afternoon. The other dealership lost out, and I don't even think they care. I will definitely recommend Van Bortel Chevy to family, friends, and co-workers. Good people who care about what they do. Thanks!
Was looking at a used 14 Tahoe that was just Traded in. Was in Contact with Charlie . He was very helpful in returning emails . Though the price was Right and Tahoe was in Excellent Condition . I owed to much on my current Tahoe so the numbers didn't work for me. I would highly recommend this dealership and Charlie .
