My situation must have been the most difficult situation ever at a Carmax, even though it was tough and the Managers and Myself got frustrated at times Ed, Dave, Eric, and Chris (Carmax Charleston Managers) never gave up on me and worked hard to make this thing happen. I came to them looking for my dream car, the Mitsubishi Lancer RalliArt or Evolution on a limited budget. They found the vehicle and brought it in, I bought the vehicle and there were a few problems with it, the guys took the car back no questions asked and found another one, even though there were some other issues that occured the Management staff at Carmax stuck by me and helped me make it happen. Anyone new to the car buying process should go see the team at Carmax, Charleston, as they will guide you through the process and explain it to you the whole way through! 2015 Chevrolet Sonic review
It's unfortunate the previous owners of the recent reviews had terrible ownership experiences . I have used this car for nearly four years without a single problem. Fun to drive, very spirited, great gas mileage, and outstanding handling at highway speeds. At 95,000 miles, no squeaks, wind noise, or rattles. its still very solid. Would highly recommend if you find a well cared for one. My only complaint is you would be hard pressed to fit four ave. size people at one time. But on the plus side it can fit in small spaces.

After checking all around for a lightly used Honda or Toyota minivan, I settled on CarMax since they had the ability to transfer several possible cars from nearby stores. I requested a transfer from Birmingham and it arrived earlier than promised. I test drove it, waited a week to make a final decision and made the purchase. The whole transaction was done professionally and without any extra sales pressure or tactics. This is the 2nd car in the last 6 years I've bought from CarMax and I'd certainly shop them again.

2017 Chevrolet Sonic review
I bought my 2017 Chevy Sonic LT sedan used last year with 45000 miles, what a great car, rides well, plenty of power, nice interior, solid car. Riding in it you can tell its the same chassis as the Buick Encore and Chevy Trax. Its a quiet well controlled ride and handles well too. It does exhibit some road noise but most cars in this class do. Plenty of interior room for me and I'm 6'2" I actually raise the seat up 2 notches and keep it somewhat forward in its track. I get a lot of compliments about it. Mileage is about 32 combined. Given the chance I'd buy it again without hesitation.

Had car 8 yrs only trouble I had was upper o2 snsir went out. Still runs like a kitten.Great sound system, easy steering wheel control. Drive it from Louisiana to North Carolina once a year great gas mileage.
