2020 Chevrolet Bolt EV review
Review: Living With 3 Chevy Bolt EVs for past 6 years Owning three Chevy Bolt EVs has been one of the smartest financial and practical decisions we’ve made. Each year, we’re saving $6,000–$7,000 combined on fuel and maintenance compared to when we drove gasoline cars. We get about 250-300 miles of range depending on heat and AC use. We bought them used around $20k each, had batteries replaced in 2020 so 100,000 mile warranty, can't beat it! Charging at Home Is Simple, either use 110v and charge overnight or upgrade 220v dryer plug We picked up a Level 2 home charger for about $150 on Amazon. Installing and running it is as simple as hooking up clothes dryer. The charger just uses a standard 240V outlet, and the energy demand is nothing unusual for a typical household. Pulls same amount of power as microwave or toaster oven. Real Cost to Charge Let’s run the math: Electric rate: $0.10 per kWh Efficiency: ~4.5 miles per kWh Monthly driving: 2,000 miles each car That works out to: 2,000 miles at 4.5miles/kW at 10cents/kW= $44/month So for just $44 a month, each Bolt drives 2,000 miles. Compare that to a gas car at 30 MPG and $3.50/gallon: 2,000 miles at 30MPG= 66.7gals times $3.50 = $233/month That’s nearly $190/month in savings per car, just on fuel. Multiply that by 3 cars and a full year, and the numbers quickly add up. Maintenance Savings Beyond the fuel savings, the Bolt EVs don’t need oil changes, transmission services, or exhaust system repairs. Brake wear is minimal thanks to regenerative braking. For us, the maintenance costs dropped to little more than tire rotations (free at Discount Tire), washer fluid and cabin air filters. Final Thoughts Switching to the Chevy Bolt has been a financial win and a stress reliever. Charging at home is as easy as running a kitchen appliance, and the cost per mile is dramatically lower. With three Bolts in the household, the yearly savings of $6,000–$7,000 speak for themselves, that over $40,000 in savings!

2019 Chevrolet Bolt EV review
I've had my 2019 Bolt Premier for a month now and it's really a clever little vehicle. Nimble and fun to drive with lots of room (can fit two mt bikes in the back). Coming from a VW GTI I expected the Bolt to be a substantial step down, but it's not. Granted the GTI is leagues ahead in both interior and exterior build quality, but the Bolt is no slouch in terms of what a fun-sized EV hatch should be. With a low center of gravity, loads of "O" torque and a decent suspension, the Bolt doesn't embarrass itself while performing it's appointed tasks around town. Sure, the steering could benefit from taking a communications class and the brakes are less than linier but the single pedal driving dynamic is outstanding (I could seriously go on for a while regarding how intuitive the one pedal regen system is on the Bolt, kudos to GM for their work on this feature). The rest of the gripes about the Bolt (plastic interior, uncomfortable front seats, low res screens, odd styling) I think miss the mark regarding the sum of it's parts. At the end of the day, does the Bolt deliver a satisfying experience and leave you with a smile? Absolutely!

TX Auto GroupReviews
TX Auto Group review
The first winter in Canada nearly broke me. I arrived in Canada full of fire, a petroleum engineer with years of experience, ready to contribute to Canada’s energy sector. But month after month, doors kept closing. Job interviews would go beautifully until they ran the credit check. “Thin file,” they’d say politely. “No Canadian credit history.” My strong qualifications from home meant nothing here because my past financial life in Wales was invisible to Canadian systems. Old debts and errors from back home somehow still lingered in ways that complicated everything. I lived in a cold basement suite, eating instant noodles to stretch every dollar, while watching my savings disappear. The loneliness hit hardest at night, no family nearby, no one to talk to about the shame I carried. I started avoiding calls home because I couldn’t bear telling my parents that their son, who they sacrificed so much for, was struggling to even rent a decent apartment or qualify for a basic car loan. One particularly brutal March evening, with the wind howling outside, I sat on my bed and cried like a child. I whispered to myself, “Did I make a mistake coming here? Is this the end of my dreams? ”That same week, a fellow wales I met at a community event in Ontario pulled me aside. He saw the exhaustion in my eyes and said gently, “Brother, you’re not the first. SafePort Credit Specialists helped me when I was in the same dark place. They understand how to deal with immigrant credit challenges, the thin files, the carry-over issues, the inaccuracies. Give them a chance. ”With nothing left to lose, I contacted them. From the very first conversation, their team made me feel seen. They didn’t rush or sugarcoat, they listened to my full journey from Wales to the Alberta prairies. They reviewed everything carefully, explained how they could challenge outdated or incorrect items on my report, and worked methodically with the Canadian bureaus. Their patience and clear updates became the only steady light during those long winter months. As the negatives were addressed and the report began to reflect the responsible man I had always been, opportunities started opening. I landed the engineering role I had trained for. I moved into a brighter apartment where I could finally host friends. Most importantly, I regained my confidence and the quiet pride of knowing I could stand on my own two feet in this new country. SafePort didn’t just repair my credit. They helped a lonely immigrant reclaim his dignity, his career, and his belief that Canada could still be home. If you’re a newcomer in Canada anywhere at all else feeling invisible, rejected, or overwhelmed by the credit system, please reach out to SafePort Credit Specialists. You can do so on there email at: SAFEPORTCREDITSPECIALIST@GMAIL.COM They gave me back more than a clean report… They helped me believe in my future again. From a grateful son of Wales now building in Canada thank you. You turned my coldest season into the start of something warm and hopeful.
