I have had my 2000 Ford Ranger XLT 4X4 4.0 Stepside for 14 years.I had to put a transmission in it about 6 years ago.Regular maintenance, still going strong and I have put a lot of miles on it I love my truck.

Got this car after my grandfather passed and I love it. Got it with just over 60k miles but he hadn't maintained it over the years so a lot of work had been done over the past couple months. Needed a new radio, gas tank, oil fill, back window, tires, had some electrical issues and rodent damage, etc. It runs great and I get a lot of compliments on the looks of the truck. I wish it was stick shift and had 4WD but it's easy to drive. I have the passenger seats in the back which my friends cram into and we all fit. Love this truck so much!!

I bought this 2000 Ford Ranger XLT brand new And, it is going strong. I have 350227 miles on it. This truck has taken great care of me!! Just change the oil and keep up the maintenance. All 3 of my kids learned to drive this stick shift. Together we are 105 years old!

243, 800+ miles and does everything I need it to do. Interior still excellent. Have done replacements and repairs as you would for any 24 year old vehicle. Shifter bushing needs replacing (today), first time ever. I ve taken very good care of it, no doubt, but would with any vehicle. Hope to keep it another 250k miles!! My 2000 Ranger (3.0 V6 2WD) has over 180k miles on it and still runs great. I replaced a full injector and the upper and lower ball joints, but that's it. Everything else has been maintenance (e.g., brakes, tires, spark plugs, shocks, hoses, etc.). If you find a 2000 Ranger in good shape with under 150k miles, buy it.
