Don's Chevrolet GMC review
Don's Chevrolet Saved Me
August 22, 2023
By Kari Alberstett from Rockford, IL
My car blew a transmission fluid line in Wauseon, OH. I am from 5 hours west, in Illinois. Bubba's towing recommended Don's Chevrolet to me at 3:30 am as I was sitting on the side of the Ohio Turnpike. We were towed there and had to wait until they opened. I noticed people walking in around 7:15 am. I called and told Jessica the situation. She said she would let Darren know the minute he arrived. He came out to talk to me right when he got there. They didn't have the parts in stock so I ended up getting a rental vehicle to drive home, 5 hours away. I didn't have an appointment and they fit me in knowing my situation. Only 2 days later, Darren called and said that they were all done and everything turned out great. The customer service was just above and beyond! I am not local and they still took care of me like one of their own. I would 10/10 recommend Don's Chevrolet to anyone I know! Great job!

Great Diesel truck when emission sensors work
January 30, 2023

Great vehicle for pulling my fifth wheel RV which weighs around 20,000 pounds. This dually truck pulls the RV very nicely without any significant strain on the engine or the transmission. However, like all of today's diesel engines there are 4 different system of emissions on this truck. Each one of these emission systems has sensors associated with them. If one of these sensors goes bad the truck will not perform optimally and sometimes it will go into the limp mode. Unfortunately this is not unique to GMC trucks. All manufacturers are battling this system. Also, I have had to take the truck to the dealer for computer upgrades in order to improve performance. I wish these upgrades could be performed on line (through wifi or with my own phone service). It sure would make things a lot simpler and improve the through put of the dealers who are already strained because of the limited number of available diesel mechanics.
