2017 Chevrolet Volt review
I drive around town most days and love the idea of not using as much gas. I drive older volvo's that I love for many reasons but they are aging and certainly not good on gas. I like the idea of full EV cars but the cost is very high and range for me (I take a lot of 200-300 mile road trips) makes it more complicated along with the expense of charging stations or installing upgraded home chargers. I bought a used Volt with 50k miles and it honestly is a pretty awesome car. I can drive around town almost purely on electric, just plug in at night to a standard outlet. And barring me going on a road trip a tank of gas a month maybe less. (8 gallons to fill up!!!!) I love the heated seats and wheel. The interior layout is great and its a very quiet car. It's quick around town and holds its own on the freeway. Are the seats volvo comfortable? NO, but they aren't bad at all in the leather premier trim. Is the back seat huge not really but if you are less than 6' it should be fine. The bose sound system is GREAT. All the safety features are nice. Back up camera, front and rear sensors, lane keep, adaptive cruise, etc.... It took a week or so to get used to how to drive it in EV and maximize my range. I can now get around 55-60 miles in town. I would say to read the manual for sure, the climate controls are situated to save electricity so there is no A/C on or off button and I had to read up on how it works. I got the hang of it once I took the time to understand what did what. The Chevy Volt forum is a wealth of knowledge as well, and that really made it easy to learn how the car works. Apart from slight learning curve it is an excellent car you can easily run in EV only if it suits your situation. Long trips are no problem I can get 42 mpg on the freeway usually and no down time to charge at stations along the way. This is a great car to bridge the gap between full gas and full electric and given the price to purchase it almost makes sense not to own one. I LOVE IT.

2025 Kia Soul review
Excellent vehicle except the standard headlights are terrible. They are not bright at all. Even on high beams they do not light up the road adequately. I am looking into adding additional led light sources to supplement the head lights. Unfortunately they dealer tell me they cannot swap out the halogen bulbs for led ones.

2022 Chevrolet Spark review
Keep in mind this rating is for a small gas fuel efficient economy car, it's way more than expected and for 2 years has not diminished my opinion at all. Good reliable car. Here in New England I have seen models from 2013 and newer still driven all over and even the prior avio models on the road too. BSic maintenance keeps them together. It is a good car!

2017 Kia Soul review
I have owned a Kia Soul Brownstone Edition for 6 years now. It hasn't given us any issues aside from a brake ABS failure in warranty. However, since Kia skimped out on immobilizers, I wouldn't get one without push button start, which is most of them, unfortunately. While they extended the warranty on the engine, they have plenty of fundamental issues with it, and also, my Kia after 4 years, has noises in front and back suspension sway bars, and the strut tower bearings make noise. While these don't need to be fixed, they make the car sound like crap. I just drove a 2019 Kona with the same amount of miles, and the suspension on that was just fine. Might be due to the larger wheels and smaller profile tires, I don't know. If Kia ever sells the EV soul in the US, I'd get that. So far, they've been good.

2012 Toyota Prius review

2012 Volkswagen Beetle review

2018 Toyota Prius review
My previous car was a 2014 Prius. The 2018 has added safety features which are very valuable, & has even better mileage, and a very smooth drive --handles well. However, there is less trunk & glove box space, & it is more complicated to work some of the features, such as setting the clock. On the 2014, all I had to do was press the hr & min buttons. On the 2018, I had to watch a youtube a few times, & then it took me a few tries to reset the clock.

My brother and I went in last Thursday, May 18 at around 6:30pm for him to test drive a Honda Civic Hatchback Sport and apply for a pre-approval since he is a first-time car-buyer with credit for less than a year. We wanted to know whether he needed a co-signer and wanted to know what to look at regarding his monthly payments and downpayment. Cynthia, the sales rep. who accommodated us, was very helpful and was very knowledgable of her products, she made us feel very comfortable throughout the test drive and the process of getting pre-approved. My brother's application went through and was told his monthly payment of the car would be around $540 under a 10.9% APR. We said okay, we'll just come back in a few months so my brother could get chance and improve his credit, and to get a lower APR. Cynthia insisted, she asked what my brother's desired payment was and how much he could put in at that very moment. He said he wanted a payment of less than $450 and could only put down $1500. Cynthia left for a moment and came back with their manager, Ryan Day. Ryan offered us the car my brother test drove, but my brother was willing to wait later for a White Hatchback Sport 6-speed (we test drove a Red Hatchback Sport CVT) with the same monthly payments under 10.9%. We said we'll just come back whenever the white one comes in. Ryan insisted and left for a few minutes, and comes back with a very very good deal. The Red Hatchback Sport that we test drove for less than $450 a month and way less than 10.9% APR. We almost said yes, but my brother didn't want to spend all the money that he has at that moment for the downpayment. Ryan told us that we could take the car home tonight and pay the downpayment 2 weeks after. We were getting too excited for this until my brother realized he still had to buy insurance since it's his first car, then we told Ryan. Ryan offered us a FREE WHOLE MONTH of FULL COVERAGE car insurance. How can you even resist this deal? My brother ended up signing paperworks of purchase of the car until we finished business at almost 11:30pm. We thank Clawson Honda of Fresno for such a spectacular costumer service, and staying up way later than your closing time (8:00pm). I admire your employees' work ethic and hospitality. 2024 Honda Civic review
Got this car for a good deal. The look is better than I anticipated, especially the silver color. People mistake the car for the Accord, that's how good it looks. The interior is also luxurious, people were surprised and thought I had a BMW or Mercedes. The ride is very smooth. Fuel efficient. The only con is the road noise, which can be ignored with the amazing Bose system. Overall, the touring model is better than the Corolla, equivalent to a Camry or Accord EXL.

2013 Toyota Prius review
I have a 2013 Prius. It has 129k on it. This is by far the most reliable & efficient vehicle. I had only had to change the oil & that is it. It regularly gets approximately 55/60 MPG. I absolutely love this vehicle & would not hesitate to get another Prius.
