2008 Subaru Forester review

2013 Hyundai Elantra GT review
Bought this new, never had any major issues mechanically. I take care to give it regular oil changes with synthetic. The nav has gotten laggy so I don't bother with it anymore and stick with my phone. I've also noticed the TPMS sensors seem more sensitive lately, so it annoyingly warns me about low tire pressure, even when it's not that bad yet. This blocks the screen telling me avg. mpg, so I have to fill it up I can't just ignore it for awhile. Other than that I still love driving it, it's quick enough for me and fun to drive around town. I was expecting to change cars much early especially with the warranty now over, but I'm going to stick with it for a few more years.

2010 Chrysler Town & Country review
My problem with this vehicle is the exterior paint. my van experience clear coat and paint damage from exposure to the sun, I spoke to an auto body persone who informed me of the issue of poor quality paint that did not have UA protection in it. This only occured to the surfaces exposed to direct sunlight.

2013 Chrysler 200 review
This is my daily drive. Bought new in 2014 and have 93,000 miles. The car itself is gorgeous and looks sporty. For the time, this was luxury. Drives smooth, looks nice, interior has nice features, but in 2024 it is definitely 'dated' to say the least. No back up cameras, no drive assist or passing vehicle warnings, and no touch screen apps like the new vehicles have. But the heated seats work well, the AC is great, and it's fast and smooth. Don't get me wrong. I love my car. I've babied my car. The review of the vehicle is positive and I'd buy it again. But here are my complaints: 1. There is a huge delay between putting your foot down and getting those RPMs up. Response time is slow. This is definitely electronically intended. 2. For some reason, the window wipers fail. Been that way since day 1. Maybe this was a fault model. But it doesn't last long. Likely just a one off. 3. The battery and the serpentine belt are hidden behind the wheel well. It means you either have the tools and time at home, or you bring it into a shop. The design is ridiculous. 4. The spacers between the back windows deteriorate. I am not sure why its made of some different material than the rest of the exterior and window, but it's definitely a design flaw. Sadly, there arent many other vehicles, at least in 2024 that come close to the quality and design of the 2013 Chrysler 200 Limited with the same or similar price tag. Instead you're looking at vehicles 2-4x the price. I've enjoyed it a lot. I've received plenty of compliments over the years. Hopefully it will last me another 10 years. At 93,000 miles and now 12 years old, I've only had to replace the front rotors, the struts, and stabilizer bar.

2012 Chevrolet Malibu review
Bought this car new in 2012. Just quit driving it with 373400 miles. Only replaced the water pump. Transmission was never touched, fuel pump, alternator, heat, ac still work and original. Maybe I was extremely lucky but this car was awesome.

2003 BMW 525 review
Good power, reasonable on gas, and an absolute joy to drive. Not a car who view automobiles as mere "transportation", but a car for those who truly enjoy driving. That said, either be good with tools or have money for maintenance. BMWs tend to require parts to be serviced or replaced far more often than your standard Toyota.

2015 Chevrolet Equinox review
I bought my Equinox new off the lot in 2015 to be my winter driving car. I’ve had it for 10 years, and have driven it 60 miles round-trip in some of the worst winter weather in the lower 48 states. The Equinox held the road well on ice, in slush, and in deep snow on days that I was on the road before the snow plows. It has always been reliable and has never left me stranded. I’ve had no major issues in over 107,000 miles. I appreciate the cargo space which is much better than the newer models. I regularly recommend Equinoxes to my friends and family.

My initial review is posted at the bottom. I have changed my rating from do not buy, to good. It appears that KUNES Sycamore has recently hired a very competent Jerome Witt who, albeit after 6 months resolved my issue within a couple of days. If you have an issue with KUNES, I highly recommend contacting Jerome. Below my original Issue: If I can stop just one person from buying a vehicle from November 5, 2022 By pljo on DealerRater If I can stop just one person from buying a vehicle from this non-responsive dealership, I consider my efforts a success. I purchased a 2009 Mercedes SL550 (48,00miles) from this stealership and added a "Bumper to Bumper aftermarket warranty" which I paid for separately from the car through Kunes. After 3 weeks (1,500mls) the car developed an issue with a suspension damper. Kunes quoted a $1,500+ repair charge and of course it was not covered by the "Bumper to Bumper warranty". Multiple emails to Eddie Boliaux (GM) has proven to be futile. Please think twice before dealing with these people, especially if they try to sell you a useless aftermarket warranty. 2014 Hyundai SONATA review
I’ve premium Auto version of 2014 Hyundai Sonata. Purchased in 2024 with very low Kms of about 65k but had an issue with starter motor when it came to 70k, other than that, it now runs lit. Been servicing on every 5-7k, it tops comfort & luxury & can challenge any modern car with similar features.

2017 GMC Acadia review
Have had lots of problems with the wheel sensors. New tires and new sensors and still have the same issue. Shows tire low and it is not. Just car not even two years the air conditioning would not blow out cold air. The compressor in the back went out, need to be replaced. Side car waring lights come on sometimes even though no car anywhere near me. Fold in mirrors are a joke the driver side comes in and out, however the passenger side sticks. Dealer said yeah that happens. This car is garage kept!

2014 Jeep Cherokee review
I drive a lot my car is a 2014 and it has currently 277,400 miles and still ticking. I’ve had very few maintenance issues overall the basic wear and tear as expected! I didn’t expect it would last as long as it has but I am being pleasantly surprised. It is great on gas compared to most SUVs and overall a comfortable car !

2011 Chevrolet Equinox review
I bought a 2011 Equinox w/2Lt, with the 3.0L VVT. 264 HP engine and 18" wheels. This vehicle was T-boned on the passenger side door with air bag deployed and thus declared totalled by an insurance company from a previous owner. This vehicle was rebuilt and salvage title issued with approximately 38,000 miles on the odometer. This vehicle turned out to be a very good experience so far as I have had some repaint done and I replaced my wheel hubs, brake rotors, calipers and brake pads with high performance parts. With this power plant configuration, I can pull my droptail trailer loaded with 2 cruiser motorcycles to Sturgis with absolutely no problems whatsoever. I change oil every 6 months with under 3,000 miles on the oil. The engine does not use oil. I am a conservative driver and use extra caution while trailering. I added a Curt class IV hitch with no trailer brakes. Trailer payload on the scale is 1900-2200lbs depending on what bikes I decide to take. However, I would not have considered ANY Equinox with the xxx I4 Ecotec Engine. Those engines were built with a batch of bad timing chains from Mexico and GM ended up replacing a boat load of those engine. I am a mechanical engineer.

2009 Mazda Mazda6 review
I bought my 2009 Mazda6 used with 35,000 miles in 2010. Now 2024, it has over 220,000 miles. The engine is still good. I change the oil every 10,000 miles with Mobil-1 synthetic oil. Between oil changes I add .8 of a quarts of oil. I keep the oil between .5 and .8 on the deep stick. i check the oil when the engine is cold. I replace the transmission fluid every 30,000 miles.

My wife and I experienced a serious overheating problem in our Santa Fe while driving from our home in Kansas City to Chicago. We found Kunes Hyundai online and were blown away by the superior service they offered. Kyle served as our service advisor, and he went above and beyond to take care of us. He patiently explained the problem, told us they had to order a part, and promised the vehicle would be done by Tuesday. When I left the facility, Kyle said he was on the phone trying to work a little magic to get the part sooner. I don't know who he called or what he said, but he worked the magic. The part came on Monday, and they had the Santa Fe fixed and back to us a day ahead of schedule! That was tremendous. We were already sold on the Hyundai, but this experience reminded us again of why we are on our third vehicle. The level of customer care is off the charts at Hyundai. And Kyle is the best service advisor we've ever had. The repairs fixed the problem and got us safely back home to Kansas City. I would gladly recommend Kunes Hyundai without hesitation. 2012 Kia Sedona review

2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee review
I bought mine ( 04 overland) w/ 250k miles on it, in great condition. Owner had carfax for both his big diesel pusher and matching Jeep - it was towed the majority of its travels. It’s record of maintenance matched by almost half of motor homes service records. it has never had a single issue other than standard maintenance- I jokingly said ‘I’d drive it till it dies”. And. It looks like I’ll be doing just that- I think about it’s not so good ‘gas Guzzling’. But it’s a second vehicle, fits my grandkids,tows most of our toys and is comfortable and sure beats being stuck with 💰
