2026 Subaru Outback review
I had some weird requirements. I bought a full-sized spare exactly like the other wheels/tires on the car so I wanted it to fit in the wheel well. It did that. I also wanted a car that had a very convenient way of turning off the auto on/off feature where the car's engine turns off when you come to a light. I also wanted AWD. The cabin is quieter than my previous car so that's also a plus. The seats are very comfortable. The only small negative is that the map lights are very weak. I will have them replaced with LED bulbs at the car's first oil change at 3000 miiles.

The interior is nicely appointed and comfortable. The engine produces 280 HP, so there is plenty of power when you need it. We are still getting used to the Dual Clutch transmission. It has different characteristics than automatic transmissions in previous vehicles we have owned. The Sorento is comfortable to drive, but there is a lack of road feel that we had to get used to. The dual use toggle switch that controls the climate system and infotainment system can be confusing. We also find there is excessive wind noise when going faster than 40 MPH. In the first 3000 miles we have driven the Sorento, we have one recall for a software problem, and we experienced a dead battery with no apparent cause. Overall, we like the Sorento, but we are concerned about its long-term reliability.

2026 Kia Sportage Hybrid review
I`ve only had the Kia Sportage EX AWD hybrid for 3 weeks previously owning a 2023 Toyota Rav4 XLE (gas) that seemed bullet proof even after 30K miles. Looking to upgrade to a new hybrid vehicle I was thoroughly impressed with my Kia test drive . The Kia Sportage is so smooth and quiet with strong acceleration and comes with an automatic transmission instead of a CVT. I had studied all the reviews available and concluded that this was among the top compact SUV hybrids .
