2026 GMC Sierra 1500 review

2026 RAM 1500 review
I use trucks plow , haul and tow... I've owned Ford's and GM trucks as well. While the Ford were good, I've experienced that the longer durability wasn't equal to MOPAR.. I was a GM person for many years and they definitely are not an option for me any longer. The GM's I've owned seemed lighter duty, failed more often than Ford and MOPAR. This is my third MOPAR truck. The past 2 have been very reliable, 300K 259k both still on the road . My new 26 Ram only has 2500 miles on this new truck so I'm reluctant to give it an overall rate of 5 , things Ive experienced thus far.. Performance: The std in line 6 has plenty of punch to it. Milage : Around town I'm getting 21.5 recently took it on a 380 trip ,26.9 MPG although RAM still has issue with its on board MPG calculator it stated 27.9 an error of ~ 4.7% which some may think is picky , I say come on fix it! GM and Ford have it dialed in . Fix it MOPAR. Interiors is well thought out super quiet , seats are very comfortable so traveling long distances is a great experience. I still dislike that one cant order a 8 foot box on a 1500. We will see how this $78K holds up in terms of durability.. Value wise I'm totally unhappy with all brands 78K is just out of line. But then again , lots of folks buy trucks and use them for cars so when demand goes up so do prices. Value wise they out of sync with the customer

Great service...seamless! Salesperson (Linda Pesantez) was very professional, attentive and forthcoming/transparent while tending to our needs. It helped too that my fiancé and I knew exactly what we wanted as far as choice of vehicle. We should note here that there seems to be a "homey" feel to the ambiance. My 2016 Jeep Renegade, with 98k+ miles, was starting to need expensive repairs. So, I looked online for a pre-owned Jeep Wrangler that met my requirements and needs. My sales consultant John Downey, did everything to ensure that the trade-in and sale went through without a hitch and without any sales pressure whatsoever. He explained all the details of the sale and answered all questions I had about the vehicle. The finance manager Elijah worked diligently to find me the best financing deal possible -- and it came with a great interest rate! When it came to signing the many documents, he went over each thoroughly and again, answered any questions I had clearly and quickly. I rate my overall experience at Bill Volz Westchester Auto as excellent. 2026 GMC Sierra 1500 review
I bought the AT 4 version. Loaded. Has good ground clearance. It's powered with a 3.0 l turbocharged diesel. Has lots of horsepower and torque. I've had no problem but I talked to my friend who's a certified mechanic and they're having a lot of problems with the engine blowing up at very low mileage. A lot of the time less than 15,000. Some of them have problems with the thrust bearings failing causing increased crankshaft play back and forth to the point where the timing chain and the rubber belt that runs the oil pump can fail. The engine has been described as grenading. They're basically self-destructs. There's a specific power code that indicates low oil pressure and allowed rattle sound before it finally fails. I heard that the engines were on back order, so if you're one of the unfortunates you can plan on waiting 10 or 12 weeks or longer to get your truck back. They have to remove the cab completely to swap motors. But overall I love the truck. It's a big improvement over the 2022 I just traded in.

I brought my 2020 Telluride in for recall work. The experience was excellent, from booking the appointment, to picking the car up. I dropped my car off the night before my appointment and the drop box was easy to use. The service department called me mid-morning to let me know they had the car in and when I could pick it up. When I got there, the car was ready, they had also done the inspection, which I had forgot was due, AND they had washed the car. Everyone I spoke with, whether on the phone or in person, was friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend Kia of Middletown!
