I've always been a Pontiac conisur. In '77 I got a 69. Absolutely amazing. In 2003 I got a 91. Now I have a '95 and it is tops. Named her SAM for Surface to Air Missle. Yes I am retired Army. 2002 was the end of the line for performance cars at Pontiac. The Firebird and Trans Am were iconic muscle cars that helped define the genre. I was lucky in finding 1 of 2000 Collector Edition models with super low miles. The car runs strong, handles well, and still looks great 19 years later. The interior is dated but nobody buys a Trans Am for the interior. It is still fast and fun to drive. Getting a 4th generation Firebird is more economical then buying a project and restoring/modifying it to meet modern standards. This car is for serious drivers to are tired of the current run of the mill cookie-cutter tin can cars today, and it is half the price of current muscle car remnants, it can still keep up with most of them too!

Great looking car fun car to drive, great speed, a car you can drive and get a thumbs up from people you do not know. The Formula was only made in 1988 and the suspension was a new suspension for that year. all other fiero's suspensions were from a Chevy citation

I got my solstice for only $5000 with 36000 original miles on it. Checked car fax and it had oil change less than every 1000 miles by one owner and was barely driven by most owners. I’m the 6 th owner. This car is prestine. I could sell it amd make $8000. But I love it too much to do that. It looks more expensive than it was. It handles and goes around corners like no other. I don’t think it’s possible to roll this car. I do not have a turbo in it, I would just get in trouble. 170 hp 5 speed manual id fine for me. The miles will stay low because I live in tahoe and it’s got to be stored for the winter months. This car turns heads. Downside, if I have a passenger, there’s absolutely no room for anything. It’s not a car I would take on a long road trip unless you were alone. I drive it nice so far just because it’s in such excellent shape. The weight capacity on it is under 400 lbs. so if you’re a big person with a big spouse, the car wouldn’t be practical. I’m 110 lbs and my boyfriend is 200 lbs and that’s about the max load... especially if he has groceries piled on him. Definitely not built for a wider person. If you’re tall the car does have ample leg room and height with the top up. I call it my fun weekend car. That’s what it’s for, for a nice drive on Sunday or to go out and have a showy car on a Friday and Saturday night, maybe a solo shopping trip too. It’s definitely a fiat weather car with the rear wheel drive as well.

My 2008 G8GT has 185K on it and it still drives and handles like a new car. I have changed the brakes to slotted and change the oil myself every 3-4k miles. Front seats are not that comfortable for long trips and is my only minor complaint. I will keep the car as long as I can because there is nothing like the power being offered in a four door by an American Car Company.

I was looking for a vintage Jeep. I live in Ohio and found exactly what I wanted in Clearwater florida. My 2007 Pontiac Solstice GXP currently is a reliable little sports car with lots of kick in terms of performance, especially considering it’s amazing turbo charger. 260 hp isn’t to bad either. Styling is ever eye catching with its 18 inch tires. It sits low outwardly as well as inwardly as a sports car should. Maintaining its regular maintenance and fluids will provide consistent quality performance. It's fast when you need it to be. The ride is comfortable, and steering is excellent for where you pint it, it will go there with no push back or fuss. Gas relies on premium which is acceptable for quality performance, but there is the base model which takes regular gas if your wallet seeks relief. Its colors are limited, but I suggest a car wrap for uniqueness individuality. Overall, the Solstice is a fun responsive sports car that you can find within your budget and after purchasing it, you can get reasonable affordable auto insurance coverage, especially if your are a Boomer with no tickets or accidents. These cars are approaching rare for you don’t see many on the roads and highways these days. Drop the top on a relatively good weather day and all eyes will be on you!!! MVB

Loved my firebirds . I bought a new 1994 and a 1999 . V6 but awesome power it’s a Pontiac I replaced window motors , antenna motor, alternator, rotar,flip light motor ,oil gastric seals , I sold it and regretted it , but I figured I was grown up in my late 30’s but boy am I looking for the last one made miss my car , fun to drive and it got so many compliments black no tee tops no ram hood but beautiful I’ve noticed people haven’t taken care of theirs in the used one’s I’m looking for , how sad wish Pontiac would make them again beautiful styling cars , it had 210,000. Miles and was going strong

This car was a weekender, so not a lot of miles on in for a car that's been owned since 1979. All original, AC duct work, very minor paint touch ups, and a little interior work will get it back to near showroom condition.
