My 2001 Porsche 911 Carrera (996) is an example of German engineering at its finest. The known IMS bearing issue was taken care of, allowing me to have no reservations about driving the car anywhere. Although it's not a turbo model, the car performs like it's made for racing. The Spanish word 'Carrera' translates to 'race'. When you put the car thru its paces you know why it is named such.

The car is perfect. Looks fabulous, handles magnificently, is solid and fast. Nothing ever seems to go wrong with it. Oh’ it is a cabriolet and is perfect for the Texas climate. No additional comments needed.

I had been in the market for a 2012 Shelby GT500 when I came across the Auto Palace Ad on Cars.com. I sent in a request for information which was responded to immediately by Steve Blackwell. We spoke a few times by phone and he was super helpful, even found financing that beat my bank by a large margin! I lived over 325 miles away so did a Fly and Drive with my 2 boys. Steve gave us the royal treatment and even arranged a ride to the dealership from my Hotel near the airport! We were even treated to a tour of the facility and of their private collection of Automobiles which was very interesting and extensive. The paper work was painless as everything was prepared and before we knew it we were on our way back home. The car ran flawlessly and even averaged 23 .8 MPG on the drive home. What can you say about any 911? The one I test drove was the S. It’s just the perfect sports car. Light, just enough power to go fast, not overwhelming. Comfortable, quiet, composed at any speed. The soft top is so quiet. Almost like a regular top. With the top down, you can still hold a somewhat normal conversation at highway speeds. Just the perfect car for a cruise or fast run on a sunny day.

Steve Blackwell, and later Jake Dunks-Campbell, have both been amazing when it came to taking care of my Cayenne E-Hybrid order. The discount and service has been amazing, and I was not pressured at any time to place the order. I've stuck through with the order since October '18, and I completely plan on following through on leasing the Cayenne this September. My loyalty to this out-of-state dealership truly speaks for the service I have received. I bought my 1999 996 in early 1999. I love the styling and it drives like a dream. A daily drive for me these days with 85000 miles. The clutch was replaced after 50000 miles and I have the oil changed every 3000 miles. My mechanic has been taking care of it for over 20 years now. I asked about the IMS issue and am told there is no evidence of any problem. If you stay ahead of maintenance you will have the best automobile you could ever own.

I have had my '02 base 6 speed manual Carrera Coupe for about 5 years. It was a car I had checked out, but my wife bought for my 50th. I love the car. I do some "spirited drives" with a great group of folks early Sunday mornings (when the back roads are pretty empty). The car is just a blast to drive hard. I have never come close to finding its limits in terms of cornering. It can be driven quite sedately if you keep it under about 4,000 RPMs. Fine around town. Stop and go traffic is obviously a pain with any manual car, but the clutch is a little stiffer than, say, a Honda. Road trips are fine if you can fit, and it's a bit noisy on the highway from tire noise. I was interested in the 911 over a used Cayman (or Miata, etc.) because I can put my kids in the back (they are 4 and 7, and they LOVE pulling "g-forces" The main downside is this is a 22 year old car with a list of things that really need to be replaced. Not because they are broken, but just standard maintenance. I need a transmission rebuild to fix an occasional issue with 2nd gear. Rear main seal. Check the IMS bearing. Water pump. Then the suspension and engine mounts probably need to be gone over. All this is probably $12,000-$15,000. Bottom line, these 996 911s can be had for mid-20's, but it's still a Porsche. You don't get Honda-priced parts when you need to replace something.

My 2019 Porsche 911 Carrera T puts a smile on my face every time I drive it! Performance, comfort, and Apple Car Play make every drive an adventure. I love the buttery smooth 7 speed transmission which returned an amazing 30 mpg on a cross country trip from Miami to Tucson. During that trip I saw 155 mph in the West Texas desert lands! What an amazing automobile!!!!

This is my 3rd Porsche and this time I chose the 911 T. I wanted a xxxxx to the wall driving experience in the Smokie Mountains near my home. The T does not disappoint. It performs flawlessly. It hugs the corners -I can easily take 25 mph at 50 mph or more in perfect control. The engine/weight ratio gives more power than can ever be realistically used even if you have a long stretch that is police free. Overall it is a thrill to drive, the cabin is comfortable without being fussy and it growls like a caged tiger with the sport exhaust.
