From the moment I laid eyes on my 2025 Lucid Air Grand Touring, I knew this was something special. The beautiful and classy aerodynamic design immediately caught my attention, with its striking light signature and unique styling setting it apart from anything else on the road. Interior & Comfort – A Luxurious Haven Stepping inside, I was greeted by an exquisitely designed, driver-focused cabin. The materials, fit, and finish exude true luxury, and the beautifully isolated interior creates an oasis of comfort. The seating is exceptionally adjustable, allowing me to fine-tune my position for maximum support, making long commutes an absolute pleasure. Driving Dynamics – Performance Meets Refinement Having previously owned a BMW M850, I had concerns about switching brands, fearing that nothing would come close to the driving experience I was used to. However, Lucid exceeded my expectations. The three driving modes provide the perfect balance between efficiency, comfort, and exhilaration. The 819 horsepower is nothing short of breathtaking, delivering instantaneous acceleration that never fails to put a smile on my face. The handling is precise and confidence-inspiring, with steering sensitivity adjusting seamlessly based on the driving mode. Whether taking tight corners or cruising at high speeds, the car goes exactly where I want it to. Ride Comfort – Designed for Long Journeys Beyond its thrilling performance, the ride comfort is exceptional. The adaptive cruise control, whisper-quiet cabin, and premium sound system elevate every drive. Even with my daily long commute, I step out of the car feeling refreshed. Range & Charging – Living Up to Expectations The real-world range has been close to the advertised numbers, which is impressive given my driving habits. Charging speeds vary depending on the station and how I’ve been driving, but overall, I am very pleased with the efficiency and ease of recharging. Standout Features – More Than Just a Car The generous legroom in both front and rear, the stunning exterior design, and the ample trunk and frunk space make this car as practical as it is beautiful. Opting for the 21-inch wheels was the right decision—they enhance handling, road feel, and overall driving dynamics while also elevating the car’s appearance. Areas for Improvement – A Work in Progress Some people mention ease of entry and exit, but I personally have had no issues. The AI Voice Assistant could integrate better, but I know Lucid is actively improving it and will push updates over the air, so I have no concerns there. Final Verdict – A Game-Changer After owning Mercedes and multiple BMW models (M550, M850, 330, i4), I can confidently say that switching to Lucid was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. This car has completely redefined my expectations, and I am fully committed to the Lucid brand for as long as I can be. 2023 Volvo XC60 Recharge Plug-In Hybrid review
We recently purchased a used XC60 plug-in and we love it thus far. It had 35k miles and is in perfect condition inside and out. A month of driving this far and have put in $35 in gas (premium). We are using the 110v charging option which does take over 12 hours for a full recharge. But topping it off every night makes sense. Our utility bill looks like about $12 more with the charging - California. We are retired so our mileage does not contain commuting. The car is quiet especially on e-mode. Very smooth ride and quite peppy with the turbo charged 4 cylinder engine. Creature comforts galore but having to learn the ins and outs of the almost completely touchscreen environment. Map navigation is a breeze with voice command 100% effective. Seats and entry are great. We researched operating costs and Volvo does have high maintenance cost at the dealer. So we got an extended warranty on top of 2 years original remaining warranty. Only issue so far is the “secret” code to plugging and unplugging the charge cord. Need to lock and then unlock the car when inserting/removing the plug. And a warning - there is no spare wheel. Pretty common with e-vehicles as a weight saver. The is a compressor with tire goo as the emergency backup. Pretty sure that needs replacement if used. Look at the tire service plan as an option. The assisted drive mode is growing on me. It keeps the car centered in the lane and uses as array of cameras to gauge conditions. A light hand on the wheel is how I use it. The main test was an erratic driver pulling into our lane and the car reacted quickly and safely to the situation. It will slow down in cruise control to the traffic ahead. This is a luxury vehicle and it drives and feels like one. We are highly impressed.

2023 Volvo XC90 Recharge Plug-In Hybrid review
This is a beautiful car. Our car is the mid level. Not totally sure it is as luxurious as it's price point. Drives and feels very nice. Feels nimble and safe. Visibility all around is great. Safety features such as the pacing cruise control and lane management are excellent. The gage cluster is minimal with a lot of empty space where they should have put a real fuel gage, not the miniscule 4 dashes that go unlit as the fuel is used. The car has no written user manual. It relies on a very limited one on board which cannot be accessed when the car is moving. Hybrid system is not immediately understood how to make it perform well. Bu once you solve that puzzle it is really good. We found a complete 900 page one on line that goes into the detail we wanted. Also the on board one does not have an index so you get to hunt and guess to find what topic your question is under. This was a major frustration for us. The back seats are very firm, which was surprising at this price point. That is why I knocked the comfort level down. Front seats are wonderful. Lots of rear leg room though. There is a lot of room behind the second row seats when the 3rd row is down, and this suits our travel cargo needs very well. 360 camera is excellent. Fit and finish is superb. The turn signal stalk has too many functions such as head light control. A switch on the dash would be much better easily showing which mode the headlights are in. The various functions are not as intuitive to control or find. There is a learning curve, not a difficult curve, but just jumping into drive it might be the wrong approach. Perhaps it is standard Volvo like not standard BMW like as we were used to. Now that we know the car better we would buy it again.

2016 Honda Pilot review
Great quiet comfortable road car. I commute between cities about 500 miles, and appreciate the performance, seat comfort, handling, quiet cabin, and decent mileage (about 32 at 70mph, about 29 at 80mph). Only hitch is the cabin controls being a reach from the drivers seat, and having to look over. Mine has a CD player which is great for books and music on the long drives.

2018 Subaru Crosstrek review
Only gripe is no adjustable visors and side mirrors. I am short and the visors do not adjust in length. The side mirrors swing in and out but not up and down so there is interference for me. I have the seat adjusted to the max and use a cushion but still have a problem.

2018 Subaru WRX review
This car has been nothing short of a pleasure to own. Its so much fun to drive, handles well, pulls hard, and just puts a smile on my face all the time. Its practical with good storage space and good back seat room. The AWD system on the car is great and offers endless grip. The car does have its quirks, it is a little noisy on the highway (wind noise), and the interior quality is just so-so (materials aren't bad, but aren't great either), and there are a couple of creaks and rattles. Even so, this vehicle has been great.

2024 Nissan Sentra review
I HAD TWO (MINOR?) PROBLEMS WITH MY NISSAN SENTRA SV 2024 SO FAR; REPAIRED BY THE CAR BASIC WARRANTY (I ONLY ‘PAID’ IN TIME WAITING IN THE NISSAN SERVICE CENTER). 1. BATTERY SUDDENLY DRAINED: THE PROBLEM BEGAN AT AROUND 3,200 MILES AND IT TOOK THREE DIAGNOSTIC VISITS, THE LAST ONE FOCUSING ON THE PARASITIC DRAIN, TO FIND A PROBLEM INVOLVING THE BATTERY. BATTERY AND RELATED PARTS REPLACED SUCCESSFULLY (COVERED BY BASIC WARRANTY). 2. POWER WINDOWS MECHANISM BROKE DOWN AND HAD TO BE REPLACED. IT WAS AROUND 5,200 MILES (COVERED BY BASIC WARRANTY).

2017 Toyota Corolla review
I have had a great experience with this car. It now has over 130,000 miles on it. And still going strong. I've only had to do the brakes. I changed the oil every 3000 miles. I did have to change. The driver's side axle. Toyota had a recall on the paint. So I now have a new paint job. The car looks wonderful. Like brand new? It has a brand new set of tires. Very dependable. It's a little noisy on the highway. But I expected that. The entertainment system. Is excellent. So it drowns out the highway noise. It handles great. The steering is precise. Overall, I would recommend this car. Especially to anyone who is seeking a low budget. Car. With good reliability.

2020 Ford F-350 review
Used to pull travel trailer. Powerful enough to haul big load reliably in nasty weather. 22 mpg when not towing, 9-13 when pulling trailer. Can run easily in cruise under load. Temp range operated in is -30 to 100+ with no problems. The ride is quiet. The 1000+ ft-lbs of torque means you can accelerate in a huge hurry if you need to. This rig is on the road 6-8 months out of the year. You can easily make the run of Houston->Minneapolis in an 18 hour straight shot, it's comfortable and quiet enough. By comfort this means comfy seats yes but more importantly you're not fighting the wheel and getting tired driving in crosswinds. I didn't buy this to impress my neighbours; I bought it to carry and haul, and it does very well doing that.

2020 Chevrolet Blazer review
This SUV is solid in almost every way, but if I had to have any complaints I would say: *The design isn't really original, or even "Blazerish". Do I really care? No, but it's just kind of the reality that it doesn't look a lot different than the Equinox, Traverse, and many other vehicles by other manufacturers. Anyway just saying that they could have tried a little harder to have a signature defining figure to separate from everyone else. *The other complaint is that it doesn't have a CD player. Like who decided to save $100, and not put one in? Some Gen Z kid? Again, I see that a lot of cars are this way, but it's just being forced on us by this young crop of kids...At the very minimum take a survey to see who would elect to have one put in, or elect to have one not put in...people are just going with it

2020 Chevrolet Tahoe review
My 2020 Tahoe has been pretty much trouble free. It is very comfortable and very nice to drive. It gets very good gas mileage for its size too. 21mpg in the city and 26mpg on the highway. I would definitely buy another one.

2015 BMW M4 review
The F82 M4 will go down in history! The looks are timeless, so much power, and very reliable. One of the best bang for your buck sports cars. However if you are looking for a comfortable daily driver this is not the car for you. It is stiff and you feel every bump in the road. Not a bad thing but if you want more comfort get a 440i. This car does what it is supposed to do perfectly.
