I have to restrain myself every time I get behind the wheel 🛞 😩 but, it is satisfying in the most soul stimulating way, knowing that at any given moment I can romp on it like a little old lady from Pasadena. 🚀

Here is a review of my start to finish process of buying a car from Gateway Classic Cars, Ft. Lauderdale: ----- 1. The sales people who you work with are not on site. They're working remote so they don't have eyes on the car. ---- So, 2. You'll want to be connected with someone on site who can start and drive the car, provide a walkaround video, pictures of whatever you want and give their input. I worked with Alex at the Ft. Lauderdale location for my purchase and he was outstanding with helping me to know the car before making an offer. He is the reason that this is a 5 star review. -------- 3. Hauling: They'll get you a quote for hauling the vehicle. I chose Nexus Transport myself to use. They were a bit cheaper and top rated by Forbes. That went just fine. --------- 4. These cars are all on consignment. So, I feel that you have to be a little more careful because you have another party who may not have disclosed things to Gateway. Best practice is to get a pre-buy done from someone like Lemon Squad. That being said, I was so comfortable with my deal, took the risk and waived the pre-buy. And in my case, the Prowler is a mint gem and I have no concerns after receiving it. Also, there is a common thought then you buy a car like this, you should budget 10% or so of the price for maintenance right after you get the car because stuff always comes up, otherwise, don't buy a used car. --------5. Since they're on consignment, they have commissions they charge the seller. As a buyer, I don't care if I see a commissions line on the purchase agreement. As long as my out the door number was what I offered, that's fine. --------6. I wired money to them and within a few hours, I had all the fully executed paperwork back in my hands. Title took about 3 weeks to receive by UPS. And the folder had everything I needed to register the car in my state. Wow! Thank you Barbara! ------ 7. So here is what breeds loyalty. Alex at the Ft. Lauderdale location made sure the car was completely ready to be picked up including accessories that were bubble wrapped. The car was supposed to be picked up at Noon on Saturday, plenty of time before they closed at 5pm. He stayed until the truck arrived...very late....AT 1:30am Sunday morning!!!! (Otherwise, it would have sat until Tuesday). I cannot believe he did that for me. I received my car loading video at 2am. That's unbelievable service that deserves more than 5 stars. ------- Summary: I'd have zero issues with buying from Gateway again....they just operate in a different dealership style than what I'm used to, which is just fine.

The car drives fast and has superb handling. There is quite a bit of cabin noise driving through bumps. LA traffic really kills the fun of this car.

Easy to drive with PS and PB and automatic 327 HP. Go anywhere or just to shows and cruise-ins. Will NEVER be worth less . Will only appreciate in value.

My nephew moved to South Carolina and couldn't take the truck because he already had a trailer with a Harley Davidson on it. He's asked me to sell it for him so he can put together a down paymwent for a house. So I've driven it several times around town and it runs well. The stereo even has a bluetooth feature and will take your phone calls and talk through a little microphone on the dash. It's a Pioneer and has Pioneer speakers and is pretty cool. The body is very clean, no dents that I can see, and the paint job is decent.

This must be the most under rated vehicle in history. Exceptionally well designed and made. Nothing but quality all around. I am actually buying a second one soon. Fun to drive.

We have had 3 in the last 15,we love them my wife drive her as a daily driver 123000, and still never had a problem

I am the second owner of a 2004 Purple SSR. I bought it in 2012. It has 18K miles on it. Is a great fun car that people stare at. They don't know what it is. A relatively inexpensive weekend car. Gas mileage is awful but it takes regular gas. It is a bumpy ride and has interior little noises with the top up. I rarely drive it in the winter so the top is mostly down. If you are looking for a fun weekend car this could be the one.

It is as close to an original car as you can get. It is a great start on a museum quality piece or drive it and smile!
