Wish I lived closer

While I didn't buy a car from them (I live in PA, 365 miles away) I found their website extremely informative. I am researching Subarus and the amount of information Plant Subaru provides on its site is absolutely amazing. I learned a great deal that helped me decide which model I wanted (Forester). I wish I lived closer - I'd buy from them in a heartbeat! Based on their website alone I give them 5 stars! I can't imagine how good the actual visit must be.

I just bought a 2014 Subaru brz. at this dealership. They had a great price and have a very honest account of the vehicles service history, which is why it was such as bargain. I bought it and absolutely love it. The staff were great, low key. They knew all about the car. Financing was painless.

It was time for something bigger than my Tacoma, which I LOVED. A friend of mine had just bought her new Ascent so I was intrigued. She has a family like mine and loves her Ascent, it is easy to see why after owning mine for the last month. I couldn't be happier, great car! Highly recommend!

Sales Review

My husband and I bought a home and needed a vehicle that was large enough for us, a German Shepherd and two cats to drive cross country. After looking at many different SUVS, we decided the Subaru Outback was perfect for our needs. We went to Planet Subaru in Hanover MA and we were pleasantly surprised by the warm greeting from one of their employees and two dogs which we thought was great. We were then introduced to our salesman Joe. He sat down with us and listened to our needs. We were not only looking for a safe, efficient and comforting vehicle, we wanted a fair price. I believe that a fair price is one that is not only good for us but for the dealership. Our salesman Joe showed us a Subaru Outback that was in the showroom which my husband and I were already drawn to. After looking over the vehicle, my husband went on a test drive with Joe. I decided to stay back and look at their huge amount of inventory. We wanted a certain color and features that were important to us. We wanted convenience features such as comfortable seats that were power adjustable, features that were ergonomically designed, a good stereo system, enough room for our long cross country trip with our pets and enough room that we didn't feel crammed. The Outback we decided on had everything we wanted in a new SUV. We wanted an outstanding AWD system as we were moving to the Northwest where weather and road conditions were different than Massachusetts. We were very pleased with our experience at Planet Subaru. Our salesman Joe and our finance manager Scott listened to our wants and needs and never were pushy. We were grateful for all of the effort Scott put in to get us a low interest rate and a preowned certification. We drove cross country and we were very pleased with the performance, comfort and safety features. We both are very satisfied with our experience at Planet Subaru. One of the biggest things that made us buy from them was their approach to a vehicle buying process. We never felt that anyone was pushy with us or made us feel like if we didn't buy the Outback that day, we weren't going to get the same deal. I hope this review will help others with their decision to purchase their next vehicle from a Planet Subaru.

Easily the best car I've ever owned
by BigRedPuck from Poughkeepsie, NY

The Subaru Ascent is a pleasant surprise, even though all of the reviews I read about it were positive. It's a very comfortable car, and to me drives more like a car than an SUV. I was a Honda owner previously (Pilot, Accord), and thought that I would end up with another Pilot, but the Ascent blew me away. Great features for the price, comfortable seating, and plenty of room in the back for the kids and dogs. The controls and technology are exactly what I wanted - comprehensive, yet easy to operate (and reach). Great design. Plenty of USB ports for the kids. Very happy with the decision to buy, and love this car so far. The only shortcoming so far is the acceleration (where you can feel that this is a turbo 4-cylinder), but the Ascent does get up to cruising speed relatively quickly - and the ride is so comfortable I have to remind myself to slow down because I'm going faster than it feels!

An absolutely brilliant experience …....

…. Oh yes - and the Subaru is pretty fab also ;) I have never bought a new car in the US but have been well aware of the challenges and mythology surrounding said endeavor — all of which were quickly confirmed the instant I was pushed through the front doors of two Subaru dealerships - So a couple of weeks ago we broke free from the gravitational pull of the “Atlantic nebula”, took a wide birth around and away from the blackhole better known as the “Quirk-effect” and plotted a course to Planet Subaru. Planet Subaru - It is obvious to us that you value both your employees and customers. Everyone we met in the sales Debt, Dave in finance, the service desk and the customers by the coffee machine … where all simply smiling - chatty and relaxed, and from our perspective that is all that was required. Dale - Beth and I are so pleased with having met and worked Derek and Milo - intelligent, funny, patient, knowledgable and a great sense of asking the right question and the right time ……… and that was just Milo ! Both Derek and Milo are indeed assets to your company. My only complaint is the ridiculous long services intervals as 6000 miles is way too long to wait to drive up to Planet and absorb some more of your positive and relaxed energy. I will be up sooner than my scheduled service decrees - no doubt ! I am not sure what you raison d’être is but … “bloody well done" and keep at it ! Kindest regards and heartfelt thanks. Lawrence, Beth and “Aretha Franklin" ( ….. Beth’s new Subaru)

Best car ever except for mud
by Technoid from Middlebury center, PA
April 5, 2019

I currently own two Subaru models. A 2016 Forester and about 3 days now a brand new 2019 Ascent premium. The only problem that needs to addressed on both cars is muddy road conditions. These cars are mud collectors. The undercarriage needs to be smooth with added mud guards to protect the brakes. Alloy rims should not be so deep inside. The Forester will hold mud in the rims making them go out of balance. Mud will also get under the lower door seals. When it feezes opening the door damages the seals. And they are very expensive to replace. Mud collects under the rear bumper. Wheel wells also. The Ascent is not as bad but mud still gets under the door seals. For an off road capable car this should not be happening.

From sales to service, Planet Subaru is the BEST!

I want to take this opportunity to compliment and recognize two of the extraordinary members of the service team at Planet Subaru: Andy Ryan I have had a number of positive interactions with Andy over the last couple years and every time I come into the undealership he greets me by name and with a warm smile. He is such a pleasure to interact with and one of the many reasons I continue to service my vehicle at Planet. I have never met a more genuine team of service professionals in my life and Andy is a shining example of this. This morning’s visit to Planet was another example of Andy welcoming me to Planet regardless of whether he will be coordinating my vehicle’s service for the day. I really appreciate that and feel so valued for my business with Planet. He is a true gentleman! Allie Webb Allie welcomed me into the undealership this morning for my scheduled 60,000 mile service. She was, as she always is, very welcoming and friendly. I always feel like I am leaving my car in very capable hands. Allie takes the time to clearly explain the details of the service and makes sure I am fully aware of every important detail. Later this morning she contacted me to advise that my driver’s side front tire should be replaced due to a puncture on the sidewall that I was unaware of. She suggested that an alignment be completed as well with the replacement of the tire and also provided a clear service recommendation for fuel injection service. I was so impressed by how knowledgeable Allie was and how accommodating she was with the use of the Passport loaner vehicle. Since purchasing our 2015 Subaru Outback, I have been a fan of Planet Subaru. From Sales to Service, my wife and I have been treated like a valued part of the Planet Subaru family. It is because of the unprecedented level of service from people like Andy and Allie, that we will continue to service our vehicle at Planet and plan to purchase many more Planet Subaru vehicles in the future.

This car is amazing and so much fun to drive. Too many features to name here. Can’t even pick a favorite. For a three row seater it handles like a sedan but has room room galore. The third row is so comfortable and has its own vents. Cup holders everywhere. This is a must drive. You will be blown away. Subaru has thought of everything

Pleasant Surprise

I was on the verge of traveling 4 hours to purchase a new truck because local dealer pricing wasn't competitive to my out of town price. I decided to give two local dealers one last chance to step up. Fortunately, Marshall Ford was one of them. I wasn't feeling positive that a deal was going to happen. My sales person, Dorina , insisted I stop in because her sales manager really works with people. Thanks to Dorina for insisting I stop in because Jimmy Marshall was awesome! He was present when I arrived and greeted me. He was there with me when I looked at the truck I ultimately purchased. It was refreshing to have a sales manager that wasn't the mysterious wizard of oz behind the curtain. Thanks to Dorina again for pushing me to stop in and a huge thank you to Jimmy Marshall for making me a very happy owner of a 2017 F-150.

What a pleasant experience
by Bullet Bob from Lakewood, Colorado
November 6, 2018

This morning I drove from Lakewood, in the Denver metro area, to Colorado Springs in my '08 Scion tC to check out the 2016 Scion tC for sale at Auto Source. Auto Source is a small independent outfit tucked away on 8th Ave, an unpresumptuous location packed with a wide variety of cars. I'd been in contact with Isaiah, who was conscientious, professional, accommodating, and informative, and he had the car ready when I arrived. A short conversation, a quick scan of my driver's license, and I was out on the road checking out the '16 tC on my own. It had 4700 miles and handled like the practically new car that it was. I was satisfied as to its condition and price, and Isaiah took me through the buying process quickly and easily, as did Dan, the manager. Everything was explained in detail and I signed here, here, and here several times. It took a total of about 1 1/2 hours, and I was out the door. Totally unpressured event, and the price was unbeatable. I would be happy to recommend this place to all my friends.

Powerful a few really poor issues
by Rayo from 97017
April 2, 2019

The car is powerful, handles really well. Having owned five Subarus, I expected nothing less. That said, after six months, several annoying trais have emerged, which I consider to be game changers:1) dumb auto locking doors drive me nuts. They have been set, to supposedly unlock all doors when driver's door is opened. Only half the time, rear doors remain locked. 2)The radio can not be turned off. Consequently, unless you just leave it on, and turn volume to zero, you are confronted with scresming radio, seconds after you start the car. 3) interlock on tranny is sorely screwed. If you accidentally take it out of park before starting, you are screwed for about five minutes, begging it to start. Just returning to park doesn't work. Gotta tirn off ignition (another joke), open and close doors, wait for it to actually go off, then try to restart. 4) oh screw it, suffice to say, electronics are half baked. THEN, there is a flap to hide the trailer hitch. If you ever take it off, good luck ever getting it safely re attached. Finally (I hope) the glove box is a joke. Think it might be a good car in a year or two.

I came in to look at a 2014 Subaru they had in stock. I fell in love immediately and couldn't leave without trading in my old car. Robert and Pete did everything in their power to help me make this happen! Now I'm driving the car I've always wanted and feel so much safer driving in the snow and rain. :) These guys are amazing, and I'm very happy I came in and they walked me through so much! I would definitely recommend giving them a chance and checking out what they have in stock.

Nate Wade Subaru Review
Exceptional Service - start to finish!
by TeddiB from DealerRater.com
November 5, 2018
5 5 5 5 5 4.9 (2418 reviews)
My experience purchasing a vehicle from Nate Wade Subaru was exceptional from start to finish! My initial contact was through an online inquiry and request for an ePrice - I was connected with Josh Kelly. Initially I was just testing the water as to my options to upgrade from my 2013 Subaru Legacy to a 2016 Legacy with EyeSight and other new safety features. I had my heart set on a specific color and was flexible with the options, to a point. A couple trips (225 miles each way) to Nate Wade Subaru to check out inventory and test drive a few cars - helped set me on the track to purchase. The only difficulty was when I decided on options I wanted and found that there were two cars on the lot appointed as I wanted - but neither in my preferred color. Josh searched other dealers and found there was actually one a short (40 minutes) away which was exactly what I wanted. It was a Saturday - a busy one at Nate Wade, Josh had several customers simultaneously and I never felt that I was anything but his top priority. He took the time to try to contact the other dealership to see if they would do a dealer trade for the car but the other dealership said they were shorthanded and didn't have time. This didn't stop Josh from trying other routes to see if the car was actually available and could be obtained for me. He said if it was he would drive there and get the car for me. Needless to say, the day ended without word from the other dealer so I went home. By the end of the day Sunday, I felt I'd adequately explored my options - between getting the car from the other dealer or selecting one on the lot which had the options but not the exterior/interior color I preferred. I was back on the road to Nate Wade Subaru on Monday morning. I met with Josh briefly to look over the printouts for the different cars, then went to look at the vehicles they had on the lot. Josh went to work to see if they could get the car from the other dealer. Ultimately this dealership agreed, but had changed the price on the car - so I declined. (Sorry to put you through all the Josh!) Instead I purchased the one at Nate Wade even if it wasn't the color I'd originally hoped to find. It is a lovely car (same exterior color as my 2013) and has some really awesome features! Once I'd finally made up my mind, Josh handed me over to Nick Poulos to finalize the paperwork. Nick is quite a character! It was a pleasure getting to know him a little while he walked me through the sea of paperwork. It truly felt like talking with an old friend in the short time in his office. He definitely added a nice personal touch to the process. Thanks so much Nick for the special care and everything! I really enjoyed driving home (3+ hours on the freeway). It was a stormy day and my new Legacy handled the slushy/snowy road with nimble road-hugging reliability that I expect, know and love! Subaru's are the best and Nate Wade Subaru and their staff are top notch! Thank you all!

The only reason I didn’t get this car was because it hasn’t been on the market long. I’ve had a past purchase of a new model jeep in the past and ran into all sorts of issues. So I did lease an Acadia. I can’t wait for the lease of my vehicle to be up though because by then it will have been on the market for longer and I will Definitely will get the ascent!

I've notice a lot of confusion from other reviews with the customer service and service at Prestman Auto so I thought I'd add my two cents and my experience. First of all, they have a policy where they allow you to browse on your own without any interruptions from annoying sales reps. If you need help for a test drive something else, just ask any staff for an available sales rep to help you and they'll find one. Also, if you don't understand why their prices are so low, you should read on their website to learn a little about them because they aren't your typical car dealership. About 2 years ago I bought a 2013 Ford Focus ST-3 from them for an excellent price. I have loved my car ever since and I would recommend this dealership to anyone especially my fellow car guy/gal.

We just bought the Ascent a week ago but it has already proved to be a very versatile and family-friendly SUV. Our kids outgrew the passenger cabin in our Forester so the Ascent was a great next step for us because we love Subaru's reliability and ability to go almost anywhere. Our 16, 14, and 12 year old fit very well in the Ascent with room to spare.

My in-laws referred me to NW Group and Eli met with me at the warehouse within minutes of my calling him when I was in Portland on a weekend. He answered questions as well as offering more information on the models that we were considering (Outback vs Forester). I felt no pressure at all and when I was back with my family several weeks later, we looked at and drove several cars. We unanimously voted for the 2015 Forester. The price was amazing and he even threw in a tow package and fog lights that I said that I desired and he had them both installed within days! We love the car and appreciate so much that it was such a smooth and easy transaction.
2019 Subaru Ascent Premium 7-Passenger Review
I'm new to Subaru and very happy with 2019 Ascent

While I have only owned the Asent since January I have been impressive. This replaces my 2002 Toyota 4-Runner. I compared to Highlander but one test drive in the Acent and I was impressed. Adaptive cruise control is amazing. The dealership kept selling out of the mid-level trim so bought the Touring model off the showroom floor. I have bad back and these seat are wonderful. Seat have both heat and a/c. Yes cooling front seat (I live in Florida). Has power when you need it. Gas mileage is in 20 mpg range and great is regular gas. I looked at Audi Q5 but was out of my price range and this Ascent has all the same bells and whistles for $10k less. All the folk that have Subarus say I will be very happy with reliability. Hope it will be good as my 4Runner was!!
