Used Toyota Mirai for sale near Norco, CA

The overall process of buying my Tacoma was easily the smoothest process ever for buying a car. April who completed the sale was more than professional and answered all of my questions, Anthony who handled the paperwork and financing was also excellent and made the process run smoothly. I purchased a new 2022 Mirai XLE from Santa Monica. Sticker price was 57k. (got the blacked out one so it was a little more), they brought it down to 53k. After $17,000 off the price, adding taxes and fees, the total was $43,000. After I gave them $4500 down, I qualified for 0% APR, 72 months, my total financed was $38,000. My monthly payment is $536. They of course gave me the $15,000 fuel card, the state gives you $4,500 ($2,500 more if you qualify). Aside from the numbers, rebates, etc. The car is not for everyone. I work on the westside and have 2 stations relatively close to me, and a third station that I pass by 3 times during the weekend. Yes, the fuel infrastructure sucks. But if you have at least 1 near you, you should be ok. But I highly suggest, you have at least two local stations easily available to you, wether it's near work or where you live. Do I love the car? - Absolutely, it's luxurious, technology driven, comfortable, feels so light when you drive it. I mean, it doesn't feel like you are driving a Toyota. I do plan on making this my long term car, one can only hope that California is over gas, and we can push hydrogen! (previous car, BMW - 3 series)

I owned the previous Mirai and all I can say is the new one is a significant step up. Dont get me wrong - the previous version was superb, but Toyota have tried to fix every quibble. The new version is slick to look at and drive with a highly equipped and state of the art cockpit with smart styling. Limited Edition that I have has a massive sunroof, heads-up-display and lots of titillation. Sportier exterior, larger feel and outstanding handling - better than sports vehicles I have driven. Free fuel for 3 years, free maintenance for 3 years, free breakdown for 3 years, plus money back from CA which covers your down payment makes the totally cost of ownership much lower than you would expect and lower than gasoline cars in lower price brackets

Owning a Mirai is an adventure. First of all, understand that you are not buying a gasoline vehicle with stations at practically every corner. Secondly, there's a reason these cars are priced the way they are, because ownership requires a bit of patience and flexibility. As a previous owner of a 2010 Toyota Prius, the Mirai was a step up in performance and technology. The car comes with practically every feature you would want in car including heated seats, heated steering wheel, adaptive cruise control, and satellite radio. The car has more responsive acceleration than the Prius. Over the months that I've owned the car, I've received several compliments regarding the futuristic exterior styling. The only real downsides are the smallish trunk and the lack of a physical spare (it comes with a tire repair kit). Also of note is that the vehicle only seats four people. Even before the generous fuel subsidy provided by Toyota, it is one of the least expensive sedans on the market today (it's often cheaper than a Corolla, which doesn't come with many of its features). Unlike EV charging stations that seem randomly placed, hydrogen fueling stations are strategically placed and cover residents of the Greater Los Angeles area and the San Francisco Bay Area fairly well. If you live or work in the Inland Empire, you might want to wait for a few more stations to open. Refueling requires a bit more planning than a gas powered vehicle because the infrastructure is still in its infancy, so don't wait until the last minute to fill up. PLEASE NOTE: Before you purchase this vehicle make sure there are at least two hydrogen fueling stations near your residence and/or work, because stations do go offline regularly for maintenance or to replenish fuel supplies. The vehicle is relatively low maintenance and inexpensive to maintain, but every 35,000 miles the ion filter needs to be replaced, which will set you back about $600 or so. If buying a used vehicle around 35,000 or 70,000 miles, check to see if the ion filter has been replaced and factor that into your decision.
