My 2023 Ford Mach-E GT (only 7,100 miles) has been at the dealer for nearly four weeks due to a persistent charging fault error. Despite the time passed, neither the dealership nor Ford's engineering support has been able to resolve the issue or provide a clear timeline. It's incredibly frustrating to own a nearly new EV and be without it for this long with no resolution in sight. This experience has shaken my confidence in both the vehicle and Ford’s ability to support its customers.

Used to own this car

I had this car as a rental. The range at 75 MPH was 240 miles. It took an hour to charge at a 180 kw charger. I thought about getting an electric car for our second vehicle. I would never consider an electric after dealing with this one for 2 days.

I decided to try this car when I was renting on a trip to visit my son. Bad mistake. This vehicle is so glitchy and really downright dangerous. The safety features will give you whiplash and the lane correction system will steer you right into some cars next to you. After going to seven different charging stations all of which confirm that they do offer charging for this particular car it eventually died because none of the chargers were able to communicate with the vehicle. This left me stranded after 2 hours of driving around looking for chargers and then another hour on customer service. Then I had to find a ride home at 10:30 at night with my son and walk to school the next day over a mile and a half. The other thing that is annoying with this car is if you don't have the key with you at all times and you let's say leave your backpack in the car then you go back and try to get it out it won't let you in even though you never lock the doors.
