Don’t buy it!

We’ve owned our Mach-E for about three months now and put about 2,000 miles on it. Long enough to know we wouldn’t buy it again or recommend it. I’ll start with the things we like: * When it works, BlueCruise works well * It handles great. It’s a solid feeling car with plenty of torque * Good visibility * Comfortable seats What...

I like it when it is LIT up

I purchased a 2023 Mach-e GT in Feb' 2023. I liked the way it drove & the design. The dealership did charge me $500 over MSRP which I was willing to live with. Picked the car up & drove it home about 28 miles. Next morning the car was dead, the screen was blank & non responsive. Dealership sent tow truck the following day. After...

2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E review: Our expert's take

What Is the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E?

The 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E is a five-seat electric SUV that delivers anywhere from 224 to 300-plus miles of driving range, depending on the battery pack and whether you opt for rear- or all-wheel drive.

In its base trim, the Mach-E is spacious and comfortable, with an airy cabin and plenty of punch for everyday driving. Lower trim levels offer between 266 and 346 horsepower, depending on configuration, while the range-topping GT and GT Performance Edition boast 480 hp and scorching performance, with 0-60 mph times around 3.5 seconds. Mach-E rivals include the Tesla Model Y, Volkswagen ID.4, Kia EV6 and Chevrolet Bolt EUV.

What’s New on the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E?

Ford has made small but important updates to the Mustang Mach-E for the 2023 model year, including making its Co-Pilot 360 suite of active safety features standard on every trim. The Premium trim fitted with the extended-range battery sees its driving range go from 277 to 290 miles. A Nite Pony cosmetic package brings black-painted 19- or 20-inch alloy wheels, along with black exterior trim and badging. A panoramic sunroof is standard on the GT and GT Performance Edition, and two new colors — Carbonized Gray Metallic and Vapor Blue Metallic — have been added.

What Features in the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E Are Most Important?

Standard features include:

  • 5-inch infotainment screen
  • Ford Co-Pilot 360
  • Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
  • Wireless device charging
  • 18-inch alloy wheels
  • Automatic emergency braking
  • Forward collision warning

Should I Buy the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E?

Unless you’re a diehard Mustang purist who insists on the visceral thrill of a gas-fed engine, the Mustang Mach-E is a smart and speedy choice. Thanks to its airy cabin and intuitive infotainment system, getting comfortable and accustomed to the interior takes only a moment. Cargo room is also plentiful, which is a compliment you’ll never hear given to the regular Mustang. The GT and GT Performance Edition have sports-car levels of acceleration, but most EV shoppers will find that the Select and Premium trims deliver plenty of performance and range at a much lower price.
